Booking a second room when I have a ressie I want to keep

Hi.

I currently have a 10 night reservation in a two bedroom at GFVs in September.

Although I know it is a pipedream (well not a dream, I really don't care too much), I'm thinking of just putting in a WL for one night at BWV/BCV for a Wednesday or Thursday night during my stay and if I get it, sleep there in the evening and head out at 4:45 am to HWs for Star Wars. I actually think I sat through one Star Wars movie but figured why not, I'll be at Disney, may as well try and get in the Land.

I currently have a reservation booked in my name for our ten night trip. If I did a WL for one night at BW/BC, and don't put I want the WL to take the place of another reservation, can it be done? Or, do I just need to check once in a while and if I ever got it, just put my first initial and last name.

Sure why not? Just don't specify to replace the other reservation and you'll be fine.

Thank you. That would just be easy and be able to make multiple ressies using same name, which I thought couldnt happen with the system. I just dont want to mess up my ten night GFVs 2 bedroom stay with one night studio mid week.

Thank you. It will just be my mom and I. I am on the original ressie as lead then my mom. Should I put a WL in using my moms first initial then last name as the lead?

I personally would. I was specifically told by MS that DVC may cancel a room that has the same exact dates of another room with the same lead. Perhaps in practice it doesn't happen often, if at all, but they did tell me I couldn't do that and it was against policy for a lead to have multiple rooms. I'm glad they told me because I was trying for an additional room for family members and was too lazy to change the name (nor did I know the room occupants yet, who was sleeping in which) when I set the waitlist up, so they fixed it.

I got the same advise from CM on DVC Chat. I changed the lead on the second room to my spouse. BTW, you have to call or chat to get that done; you cannot modify the lead guest.

Then for the September 11, I booked as my moms first initial and last name as guest one and my first initial and last name as guest two. I really could even just take myself off the WL for September 11 since I wont need to book FP since I will be doing that with GF stay.

Is what I did above good enough, you would think, to not mess anything up?
