We have booked a DL cruise for July 2007. We were wanting a 7 night, but had to settle for a 4 night- now we are going to have some extra nights in Orlando. I am thinking about looking into a townhouse/condo but I have never done that so I don't know where to start.

We need a place that sleeps 6 and we would really like a place that has a great pool and water slide and a washer and dryer. It would be for 2 or 3 nights. We don't need to be close to WDW or Universal ( we aren't going to WDW, we were just at DL and I don't think we have enough time to do WDW thoroughly and we are staying on site at Universal when we first get there for 1 night). Any suggestions on where to stay? How do I go about booking? How much should I expect to spend? Do I have to listen to a sales talk? Anything else I need to know? Is it too early to start looking? Thanks for any help.

you are little earlier - but then you get to research more.... :thumbsup2

Orange Lake is building a new pool (has been a couple of years). they have one currently with a slide.

Marriott Grande Vista has a slide in their newer pool.

Liki Tiki Village has a slide - but doesn't get great reviews.

Hilton Grand Vacation Club has a nice pool - but no slide?

fountains has a nice pool

all the DVC resorts have a slide with their main pool. but if you aren't going to WDW then don't pay Disney prices - even renting from a member can be expensive compared to the other places.

to get the one listed above - if you like the packages listed

Spicey gave you some great places to start looking - and welcome to the Dis, too :wave2: :wave2:

You can also look for privte rentals, from owners...
Regal Palms out on HWY 27 has a lovely pool complex, lazy river, *and* a slide :thumbsup2

Bahama Bay - again out on the 27 - is another nice pool area, too, but no slides (I don't think - we didn't see any)

Windsor Palms (and I always get this confused with the Hills;) the WP is on Owen Lake Road, right?) they've just completed a new pool are complete with pool slide..

Try www.vrbo.com for some..I'll take a quick peek and grab a few links for you:)

HTH!!

Hi All,
What sort of quotes are people getting for staying here?

Thanks,
Lynn

In 2005 we got a 3 bedroom for $80 a night, in 2006 we got a 4 bedroom for $90, through a private owner. :thumbsup2
check out VRBO.com or A1vacations.com for private owners and don't hesitate to negotiate! :goodvibes
