Booking a cash discount room

I want to book a room on cash dvc discount (if available) for an upcoming trip for Dec /08. Does the discount apply to only DVC resorts or can it be any resort at WDW? When can I make that reservation? TIA

The cash discount is a member perk for DVC Resorts only. It is 25% off rack rate and the DVC Member must be staying in the room.

I think it may be subject to the 11/7 rule of booking, but I am not absolutely sure of that. I have only used the discount for ressies that I made in a much shorter time frame.

I've gotten cash discount at 11 months out at a DVC resort that was not my home resort.
