I have been searching the boards all day and I still have questions, so I'll just ask them. We recently bought a TT!!! We are considering a trip to the Fort for Thanksgiving 2015. Not sure if we will make the drive with the TT or if we will rent one, but we know the Fort is where we want to stay.

1. How soon should I book? 1 year out?
2. How crowded is crowded? We've only ever done WDW in the summer months, I read Thanksgiving week can be packed. Thinking we would arrive the friday before and stay until the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
3. Temps? Is it warm enough to swim?
4. Can I book the campsite and add park passes later?
5. Does free dining ever apply to the campsites?
6. If we would decide to choose a cabin, do they book up equally as fast?

1. ASAP - 499 days out
2. Think :crowded:
3. The pools are heated. The air temp usually is warm enough to swim. The hot tub is always an option.
4.You can book room only then add your package/tickets later.
5. Never.
6. Not as fast, but still pretty fast.

Ok thanks! This helps. I'm guessing you have to call to book? Online I'm showing it's not avaliable.

Hi ash.

Yes, you have to call for 2015 still because 2015 rates have not yet been officially released. I would expect next year's rates anytime (with a price increase of course) but I would call now and get my spot reserved in advance as Denise says especially at a busy time like Tgiving week. (2nd busiest week of the year). Book the max you think you would use. It's easier to drop unwanted days later than to try to add them close to the trip. And you can start with a room-only ressie and add stuff to make it a package later.

We did Tgiving week back in 2009 in a popup (1500 loop) and it was fun. Cool that week but sunny. I cooked a 20# turkey and served about 16 people (Winn Dixie deli supplied the pumpkin and pecan pies). We ate outside on long tables and watched college football games that weekend. It was a blast.

You can check Accuweather or Weather Channel websites for historical averages that time of year. Memory says hi's mid 70s low mid 50s but again, that's an average. As Denise says, pools are heated.

Do it. It's fun!

You can only book a room only right now but if you wait just two days on July 30th packages for 2015 will be out and those can be done online :)

Thanks again for your replies. Now, if we can decide if we are pulling the TT or renting one. DH wants to pull, it's so far it makes me so nervous!
