Looking to book my first trip to DL. We want to go for 4 days and stay on-site. When booking though it seems like Im getting cheaper prices if I book Friday to Monday, rather than Monday to Thursday. Any reason for this? Is this normal?

Also, we're looking at going towards the end of August or some time in September or October. Any pros or cons between these months?

The rates aren't cheaper on the weekends, but the rates vary by what they consider "peak" times. It's possible you are checking dates that straddle two different peak room rate price groups.

For example, I'm looking at the August AP rate calendar and a rate of $261 is listed for all days on the 14-27th. Now, for the 28-31st the rate is listed at $216 - same room type.

The weather will be nicer in Sep or Oct. And the crowds will have decreased somewhat.

By mid Sep they start w/ the fall and halloween decorations. I like the decor, but I don't like HM as Nightmare before Christmas. They cover all the original sights in the ride w/ fake snow and what they add back as NBC does not compare to the original. (at least IMO. Others may prefer NBC)
