Hi,

I was just wanting see from all of the knowledgable people on the boards: what are the odds we will be able to switch our dining from the late to the early sitting when we get on board? Arre there any tips from anyone who was able to make the switch?

We are on a 3-day Wonder cruise in May. We had early sitting but after some changes to our booking we ended up being wait-listed and then put on the second seating. Our party is 4 adults, and 2 children: DS (6), and DN (7). The kids are the big reason we wanted the early sitting.

We are using the ME from the Poly so I know we won't be one of the first boarding parties.

We will make it work but I just wanted to know if we should keep our hopes up.

Thanks.

Hi,there.

We are preparing for our 3rd cruise with Disney in March. :thumbsup2
On the first 2 cruises, we wanted to change from 2nd seating to 1st seating. Both times, they were able to accommodate the requests.

They cannot always do so, though. What I did was go directly to Wavebands (I think that was where the changes could be made - it is hard to remember now, but they will tell you once you board). I went as soon as they "opened" for changes, which was something like 1pm or 1:30pm so that I had a better chance.

Now the irony is - this time we have Main Seating and I want to change to Second Seating...:rotfl: - I think I have a better chance of that since so many prefer the 1st seating.

Good luck. Please don't let it ruin your vacation if you cannot make the switch. Have fun!

I think you will be fine if you can't switch. We had two families with a total of four kids ranging from 7-12 and late seating was actually better. They ate so much all day long at the various snack bars that by early seating, they just wouldn't have been hungry enough for dinner. Plus, they were having too much fun playing basketball and such that dragging them away to shower for dinner that early would have been terrible.

We went in January and were not able to get early seating. Once we "got into it" we were really glad. We have a 6 year old DS. He would go to the early shows with us and then we had plenty of time to feed him (either "fast food" on the deck or room service) and then take him to the club where they have lots of fun activities that time of the night (pj party, etc.). The parents really got a vacation and enjoyed our meals sans children. :thumbsup2
