After debating back and forth, we made some decisions today. 
We are going last week of August, and were waiting for FD offers. We decided on just staying offsite. Booked the Quality Suites Lake Buena Vista. We will have our own car so transportation to the parks won't be an issue, and the seperate bedroom/free breakfast (all for 80/night) made it worth it. We can cancel if we decide later, but we're quite content with it right now.
Being that there are 5 of us, we would need 2 rooms at a value (can't afford 2 rooms at mod/deluxe). We figured that even if they offered the FD it would be QS, so the extra expense (plus upgrade to TS) wouldn't be worth it (well for us, especially being on a budget).
We also made a couple character dining ADR's. We're going to Chef Mickey's the night we arrive (no parks that day). Time is 7:50, so we will probably hang out around the contemporary and watch the fireworks at 10. Also booked at Crystal Palace for our last day. Probably won't make anymore ADR's (maybe another one) as we will probably grab something quick and eat dinner offsite.
Also purchased our tickets through undercover tourist. Got the 5 day tickets (will be there 6), so we figure that midweek we'll take a day to relax around the hotel.
We have everything pretty much planned out. Maybe not the fine details, but we'll either work on them or go with the flow. Not looking forward to the
, but other than that can't wait.
