Booked with airmiles?

I booked our flights with airmiles to Orlando. I have a confermation # but I can't access it on West Jets site? Is that because I didn't book directly with them?

When you book tickets through Airmiles, it's actually their travel agency that's booking the tickets. Maybe they gave you their own (an internal) confirmation number instead of one for the Westjet site. It's been a while since I went through Airmiles though.

I recently redeemed for an Air Canada reward ticket through my credit card company. The ticket was booked through their travel agency. They gave me the proper confirmation number which allowed me to log onto A/C website but it wouldn't let me modify my reservation online (ie. change seats) because I wasn't the one who originally made it.

We booked our flights using Air Miles in February and they provided us with an Air Miles confirmation number plus a separate West Jet confirmation number. If it does not appear on your Travel Reservation email link, maybe you should call Air Miles and ask for the West Jet confirmation. It's usually a 6-digit "number" consisting of all or mostly letters.

I have what I believe to be a West Jet Confermation number but when I go to West Jet and go to "My Bookings" it makes me log into my profile and then shows no booking. I can't even find a place to input my Conf number? Guess I could call them I just want to make sure that our flights are booked and that we are on the flights that they said we were on?

The only place where I have ever entered a West Jet confirmation number was to do the Web Check-in. This is where you can select your seats and print your boarding pass up to 24 hours before your flight. However, this only applies to domestic flights and we were not able to do this for our flight to Florida.

If you're really concerned, just call West Jet directly and make sure they have your reservation under that confirmation number.

FYI - we also rented a car using Air Miles and we had no problem with that either.

I'd love to help you with your question but I have never been able to redeem my airmiles for Westjet flights. I plan on ordering a whole bunch of toasters.

If they emailed the itinerary to you it will have both the Airmiles confirmation number and the Westjet reservation number. Like a previous poster said you can go to virtuallythere.com and log in using I believe your last name and the Airmiles confirmation number. There you should find the Westjet reservation number. Unless you yourself booked through Westjet.com the reservation will not appear when you go to My Bookings.

We couldn't access our information through the Westjet site when we got our tickets through airmiles either. As stated above, we used virtuallythere.com to see our information. We also called Westjet regularly to check on the flights. Last year, our flight changed and we weren't notified so this year, we checked frequently. It did have a slight time change but we were notified immediately. The Westjet employees are always very helpful when we call to check.
