Booked for in May anything budgety I need to know for that resort? We have never been there before to visit. TIA - 2 kids 13 and 11

Marionnette thank you for such a quick reply, as I read it I realized: yikes I didn't put the correct state, I forgot at Disney there was a Wilderness resort, sorry.

Know that every thing there is very spread out - there is a lot of walking between the pool areas and the shops. Budget wise, it is a resort, so everything is higher priced. Bring your own breakfast foods and snacks or eat at locsl restaurants to save money. We stayed there once, but we honestly prefer Kalahari. Much nicer rooms and the layout is better. However, if your kids live waterparks, any of the Dells resorts are great! :-)

We have been going there every summer for the last 6 yrs. We LOVE it and wouldn't stay anywhere else. There is a burger place right next to the resort named Monks. GREAT food. Have fun, your kids will love it.

Culver's has a FREE fun card that has a lot of buy 1, get 1 free food places & attractions. I seem to remember Monk's may have been on there. They have great burgers. My local Culver's did not have them, but I sent an email to Culver's and they mailed me a few of them.

I'm not sure if these are year-round or just for the summer, but it's worth a shot.

We stayed there a few years ago and had a lot of fun. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Have fun!

There are 2 radio shopping show in the Chicago area that sell discounted certificates for several things in the Dells. Here are the links if you're interested. In the Shoppers Guide tab, click on "Wisconsin Dells" in the category. The certificates have an expiration date. I thought that it was 90 or 120 days but give them a call if you decide to order. They will mail them to you for a small extra fee. Last time I ordered, it was $1.00 for the entire order.

We stayed there in 2010- we were in the Glacier Canyon section in a suite, so we had a full kitchen. We stocked up at Walmart and had breakfasts and lunches in the suite, and ate suppers out in the Dells. I think we did pay to do some laser tag, remote control boats or something. In hindsight, I would skip those things. I forget which "extra" activity it was but it was pretty lame. The water parks have plenty of entertainment themselves.

We did zipline at the resort. That was fun but not cheap! I think we had some coupons but I don't remember where I got them- maybe online or in papers that came with our room. Your kids are a great age for that. DD10 was 8 at the time and she was a little small- she got stuck but thought it was fun to just hang there! That activity was well worth it!

It is a huge place. I found it easier to navigate outdoors rather than try to meander through the resort hallways. The housekeeping staff were no help! We were there with SIL's family and once my kids took off outside with her family and DH and I went through the skywalks. It took forever to get joined up again- from then on the 4 of us traveled together.

I don't know what part you're staying in, but our suite was beautiful.
