I'm so excited!!! I've never been to Universal, my DH took his kids 4 years ago, but we were offsite, so they didn't get to use FOTL.

We are going in August, I got a Fan rate on a club room at $209! Does this sound like a good deal? The only reference I had for it was, the last time we got Poly concierge at a good rate, it was $220, so $209 sounded good to me! The club part is a surprise to my DH and kids and I think we will absolutely love it!

FOTL has reeled me in, hook, line and sinker! I can't wait!!!

hunnypotmama, thinking I need to go rent Back to the Future and MIB so my daughter can see them!

Do you have an Entertainment card? When I called the Ent rates were better than the fan club rate. Also check Expedia on and off. we gor RPR resort last year for $129--which I thought was a good deal. Our visit there was the end of Sept so for busier seasons it may be a little more.
Hunny--I didnt see Aug when I first looked. Concidering summer is very busy that does sound good. However just to be safe I would still check the other 2.
2 things hooked me on those resorts. One is def the FOTL access. It cannot be beat. the second is the resorts are awesome. Right onlike with the Disney Deluxe resorts but a bit more reasonable I think. Last year we stayed at the RPR and loved it. This year we are giving HRH a try.

Hi, I just called and got a room at the Royal Pac. for Aug. 11-15 for 149.00 a night, granted it's not on the club lever. I used my Fan Club.

Does anyone know if I could've gotten it for less??? Every little bit helps when there are 5 people!!

I have an annual pass, and the fan club, and I'm a loews first member.

Thanks, Wendy

Wendy you can book the same thing online for $146.00 not sure what the $3.00 a night difference. Try Hotelkingdom they have your dates for a standard at $134.25 a night.

Hi, I called an got the ent. rate, and the price went from 146. to 110, so I'm pretty happy about that. I can hardly wait to get there!!! I've always wanted to stay at the poly, at disney, but it's sooo expensive. I've heard that the RP is even nicer than the poly!!! I hope so.

41 days and counting.........................:smooth:

That sounds like an awesome rate!!

I just couldn't pass up $200 for club level...if it's anything like concierge at Disney, it's just soooo handy having drinks and snacks available, esp. when your kids are picky eaters!

Hope you have a great time!

I know........... I'm so excited. I went to the ent. book web site tonight to show my hubby the book I bought yesterday, and it is sold out now........... So, I'm really glad I didn't wait around to buy it, once I learned about it. My rate went from 146 to 110. I'm hoping they will upgrade us when we get there, I am a loews first member, and it says that an upgrade is one of the perks.......... I've also read on here that sometimes they offer to upgrade to club level for around 35.00, if that is the case we are doing it!!!!! All we really wanted though was the fotl, so any room is ok with me. I'm just so happy about the rate. When are you going??? Aug. as well??? we are aug. 11-15.

Wendypooh---we havent stayued at the Poly but we did stay at the YC and RPR last Sept. I think the RPR was every bit as nice as the YC. The rooms are beautiful. We had 2 queen beds, they hve a mini bar in your incase you want to use it. The vanity area and bathroom is nice and bigger than the YC one. We are going to try HRH this time to check it out. But so far the Universal resorts are wonderful and their discount rates are awesome.
Hope you guys have a great time!!

Hi, thanks. I was so excited to get that rate!! We've never stayed at the univ. hotels, but we've stayed at disneys all stars. We wanted to stay at the poly, but finding a "deal" is almost impossible. Then we heard about fotl at univ. so we changed our entire vac. from disney to univ. our sons are more excited about that anyway. I can hardly wait to get there now!!!
