I am fairly new here and still learing the navigation process!! We have just booked our vacation....March 26 - April 1. My wife is a teacher and will be on spring break. It will just be the two of us going. We have the dinning plan and will be going to Mama Melrose in order to get the tickets to Fantasmic but was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how else we might be able to get the tickets. I believe we can get them at the Brown Derby but don't want to use 2 dinning tickets for that since we will be using 2 dinners at the California Grill (one of our Disney traditions). So any help would be apprecitated.

Well time the start planning....I find the planning almost as much fun as the vacation itself!!!

Thanks for your help and if anyone else is going to be done there at this time lets us know...

Mama Melrose is your best option in my opinion. Has worked well for us.

Ted,

Thanks for your response. We have eaten at Mama Melrose the last two times we went to WDW. I see you are staying at POR as well, Riverside. We are really looking forward to it....It's Sunday January 30th and just listened to the weather report....they are predicting 13 inches of snow Tuesday night and Wednesday. Oh my!!

Entry into Fantasmic does not require a ticket. You can always go and get in line to enter when they theater opens. Generally this means you would need to be there about 2 hours early. People choose to do the dinner package so they can avoid that long wait. The trade off is that I think you will be seated off to the far side which some people don't like. I think that you also still have to arrive during a certain window of time before the show. I don't think you can walk up 5 minutes before it starts and expect to get in.

You can probably get more information on this on our Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies board, and on the restaurant options on our Disney Restaurants board.

Fantasmic is my favorite of everything at WDW. Have a great time!:)
