We're staying at the Royal Pacific Labor Day weekend. I know it'll be crowded, but it's the only time we can go :sad2:

It'll still be fun nonetheless and we need a little vacation. :goodvibes

We're FL residents, but we usually go to Disney.. so this'll be a nice change.

Look forward to planning and talking to everyone.

It will be crowded, but with your FOTL privilege for staying on-site you will be fine. Still get to the parks early. Hope you have a wonderful trip and make sure you ride the Mummy!

Looks like Venice FL is about 2.5 hours away. I'd wake up at 3am so you can be on the road early (5am) to avoid the traffic. That way you can arrive around 07:30am, pre-checkin to get your magic keys, and head to the park.

I live in Plantation Fl and that's how we drive up.

All good advice, especially about FOTL - it will make your stay and time in the parks so much more pleasant. And the Royal Pacific is a lovely hotel, so you should have a great time. We were at Universal in 8/04, and we found it as enjoyable as WDW; 1st class hotels, great attractions at the parks, and just a great atmosphere overall. The only thing Universal doesn't have is size (2 major parks vs. 4 at WDW), but I guess you can't have everything! :confused3 :goodvibes
Have fun! Oh, and don't miss Spiderman either!! Or Men in Black, or Shrek 4-D, or Jaws, or . . . :hyper:
