You do realize that your booking isn't official until you post it in the Date and Rate thread, 2009 edition? ;)

Date and Rate?? ok you got me!! what Is It?:confused3

For the past few years, threads were created where people could post their travel dates, the Universal hotel they are staying at, and the rates they obtained. This would give you an idea of what other people are paying for similar dates, plus help others in booking their stay. AlexandNessa created the first thread in 2007. Bubba's mom created the 2008 version. I'm in charge of the 2009 version. The link for my thread is: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1885330.

But please don't feel obligated to post your date/rate info based upon my initial response as I was just teasing you. If you do decide to add your date/rate info to the thread, I'll get it added to the front page. If you decide not to, that's cool.

If you don't want to take the boat, there is a walkway from HRH to Citywalk. I'd guess its about a 8 minute walk. The PBH uses the same walkway. You can get to the path by cutting through the HRH's pool area. The walkway exits out near the entrance of US. To get to IOA, walk past the US entrance and past both Hard Rock Cafe and NBA City. When returning in the evening by walking, I think that you'll need to scan your roomkey to activate the pool gate. If the pool is closed, there's a nearby door to access the HRH that should let you in by scanning your roomkey.

If you decide to take the boat, its probably a 5 or 6 minute ride. I believe that wait between boats is usually about 15 minutes. We really enjoy the boats and will definitely be using them when we stay at PBH in October.

One other travel option is the bike carts. Along the same pathway mentioned above, bicyclists will offer to taxi people between the resorts and Citywalk. They work off tips. I've never used them but some on here have. Hopefully, they can tell you what they tipped if your interested.

There's also a bus that transports people between the hotels and Citywalk. Each bus will hit all three resorts and a Citywalk entrance near the HRH. The dropoff/pickup for HRH and PBH is near their main entrance. For RPR, the dropoff/pickup is at the business entrance instead of the main entrance. We used the bus to get from the PBH to RPR back in 2006. It seemed like we waited almost 30 minutes for the bus to show. I doubt that we'll use the bus again.

We were there for 5 days and only used the boats twice and never used the pedi-cabs. It really is a nice walk and not long at all.

I used the pedi-cabs several times. It was so much easier with a whiny 8 year old. :rotfl:

There was 3 of us (adult, 12 yo and 8 yo) and I usually paid 6.00 except the one time I paid 10.00 because I was soooo happy to not listen to DD8 whine for one more minute at 10pm that night. :rotfl:
