Congratulations! Nice to hear some good news about AKV. :goodvibes

Called at 9:15 ready to book my May stay at Kidani and while I was talking to MS it dawned on me that I couldn't use my developer points before 7 months out !!:scared1: OH WELL!! Told him I would call back in October!! Any way, MS said morning so far had been pretty good, most callers very patient. I only waited 8 minutes. Good luck to everybody. Hope you get what you want! Save me just one little one bedroom please!:rotfl:

I called this morning around 10:30 and got right thru to book Kadani for July. No wait or anything. Very surprising. Now I just have to wait 330 day before the magic begins again...:yay:

Called at around 10:30 want waited for about 4 minutes for MS. I was able to book Savannah view studios for my dad (May 31 - June 5) and my family (June 1 - June 6.) It was sure nice to book those first trips home!!! Can't wait to book the second part of our stay in Nov!

The reason I was on hold so long at 9 was a computer issue. The CM told me that there was an issue with those of us with Jambo points. She said that they were fixing the issue right then and asked if I could hold on. Not knowing how busy the lines would be, I said sure. She checked in with me every few minutes, and then came on and said OK, that it was fixed. And then we booked the 2 br!

Anyone else succesful or unsuccessful mbooking Kidani today?

I called first thing this morning about 9:10 am and was on hold for 1hr. 15min. and finally just hung up. Called back this afternoon around 3:15 got right through and got my savannah view 1bdrm. 5/27-6/4. I did go ahead and ask if there would be animals on the savannah and the CM said so far they expect there to be but it may be a good idea to call back closer to travel dates and verify/request a reduction in points cost if there aren't:confused3 . The impression I got from him was basically that they hoped there would be but could not confirm at this time.

I forgot to add that I asked specifically about Uwanja Camp being open and I was told that it would definitely be open when Kidani opens.

I just called and changed our reservation to a 1bdrm sv no problem. Didn't have to wait on hold at all!!!

I called first thing this morning and booked two 2 bedroom villas beginning July 5. The CM was excited as it was her first Kidani booking (she was off yesterday). Now we only have to wait for 11 months.

:scared: EEK...that hadn't even occurred to me! I just assumed that the animals would be there!

I was on hold for 2 hours Sunday morning...it seemed crazy, and I gave up. About 1/2 hour later, around 11:30 I called the 800 number and got through right away. I only wanted 1 night, dedicated 2 bedroom in Kidani. We're going on a DCL cruise with family. What I wanted and got was the Sunday of Memorial weekend 2009.

Don't know what the glitch was. I really can hardly believe I actually stayed on hold...different music, getting the voice message every 3 minutes...for 2 hours. And it was on my dime...I had figured the 407 number would get me in quicker...

I'm looking foward to the stay. We'll be at BCV, 3 night cruise, and ending it at AKV. The MS mentioned that it would be a 1/2 mile walk if we wanted to go to Jambo, there would be no shuttle, but the pool area, food area would be all ready to go at Kidani. We're willing/happy to take the chance. We do mean for it to be a resort day.

WOW....I didn't know that! There will still be a bus stop at Kidani to the parks, correct? We don't have to walk to AKL everytime?

I called right at 9:00 am, got through, made my booking, and was off the phone by 9:08. I was originally going to request a savanna view, but before calling I decided that with the uncertainty of the completion of the savannas and other construction going on, I'd save the points and just go with a standard view.

As a previous poster mentioned, I was the CM's first Kidani booking also.

Now, can't wait for my first trip home.
