Booked a trip for January 19-26 yesterday thru Disney. This will my husbands first trip but my son and myself have been twice. My husband expects to have no fun. Just going but I am making him. I have tried to get him excited about the trip to no avail. Please help.

Once he's there he might begin to have fun. Find a tour that he could do with your son, they have a number of the behind-the-scenes things (I can recomend the Train tour) that are very cool. And the Segway around the world tour looks cool.

To be honest, my DH is never excited about going to WDW.. I always have to get him down there for him to loosen up.. Don't panic, just let it happen.. He'll have fun when he's there guaranteed..

My Dad was always like that about every vacation, before we started (not that we ever went to Disney World, of course).

Maybe your husband is thinking it's all Magic Kingdom Disney cartoonish-stuff, not fit for adults Try to focus on aspects that he would like -- is he a car guy? Test Track, obviously, not just the ride but the after-ride displays. Video gamer? At Buzz Lightyear at MK, you shoot lasers and rack up points. Science geek? Mission:Space at Epcot, and lots of other stuff at Epcot to look at. History and travel? Epcot has the World Showcase. Animal lover? Animal Kingdom is exhibits and shows as much as its popular rides. Rock-n-roll? MGM roller coaster and Off Kilter at Epcot. Food? Lots of choices there, in all the parks and resorts. Try searching the boards for things that would match his interests, and let him know what's there for him other than Mickey, Minnie and Donald.

As PPs have said, once he gets there, he'll have a good time.

My husband was the same way last year. It was our first visit. He ended up having a great time! This year he's alittle more in to the planning!

We are going with our family and my friends family. ( 1/19-1/23)
Last January we all went, it was my friends family's first time. My friends husband went kicking and screaming. well guess what? He had a great time and loved it! So we are going again!
Don't wory your husband will have a blast!

My DH is the same way, but once he gets there he has a blast. I think he is secretly excited, but does not want to help with the planning. At least that is what I like to tell myself haha.

If nothing else be happy that you have a husband that is willing to do something that he does not really want to do just for the simple fact that he loves you and wants to see you happy. That is worth more than any Disney trip.
