Booked Dining prior to 180 mark

DH just booked our dining for our stay at Disney May 14-19. We are more than 180 days out but the system let him book.....has anyone else encountered this?

That's interesting. You're supposed to be able to book 180 days in advance, but if you're staying on site, you can call 180 days prior to your first day on site and book for the whole trip, up to 10 additional days.

The first day of your trip is 185 days from today, and your last is 190. My hunch is that what's happening here is that if you're staying on site, the computer just basically opens up a 190 day window for you. That's probably a lot easier to program than it would be make it actually 180 plus 10.

So that's good to know. For stays of less than 10 days, it's worth trying to call exactly 190 days before the last day of your trip, even though that's more than 180 days from the day you call.

Well interesting thing is, we haven't booked yet...just found out about the move to 180 days so I called to check it out and he said to go ahead. We're waiting til the first of the year to book so we can see if we can upgrade to POR after Christmas....so maybe not having a reservation allowed the system to open up that extra 10 days since I could have told him any date I wanted....but you make a good point.
