Well - we did CRT and PSB last year so this year I figured there was no pressing need to do anything this year - I only booked 2 breakfasts for a 10 day stay - one at Ohana and one at Cape May (we are staying at BC)

Last week my DD9 had a friend over and was telling her we were going to Disney and it's really cool we are having breakfast with Cinderella... oops  I told her "No, not this year - we just did it last year"

SInce then I have had 4 days of pleading to go back to the castle - I even offered lunch or dinner there - but cinderella's presence is the key.

I didn't have the heart to ask the concierge planner to change my itinerary and add CRT so I got up early and started dialing at 6:55am... as soon as the message changed I hit 1 and got a CM

"Welcome To DIsney Dining my name is Joan how can I help you?"

In a clear, loud (and sort of panicked) voice I splurt out.....

"Breakfast with Cinderella - August 26th - party of 2"

Then there was silence and I help my breath - Yay!!!! - she was able to book us - one less thing to stress about. I thought holidays were supposed to be fun??

:p

LOL I screwed up when I called earlier this week. Instead of asking for the date in Aug I wanted, I asked for the date it was (June 23rd). Oh well, I got the PS.

We'll be there the day before you. Have fun!!

Cass -

I'm glad for you for 2 reasons. 1) you were able to make your PS with Cindy and 2) that your princess still wants to eat with the princesses. ;) I'll be sad when we ougrow that. Here's to keeping my fingers crossed that they still believe in magic when they are say....13..;)

My DD will be 9.5 when we go in Oct. She is getting too cool for her own self, and I was sure that she would not want to do breakfast at CRT this year (the last time we did it, she was 5.5, and we like to rotate our character meal "experiences" since I have a policy of only doing one per trip.) Well, she caught me on-line the other day looking at my TGM planner and said "hey, it's been 4 years since Cinderella, aren't you ever taking me back there?" She also mentioned that this trip, we'll be going with my SIL (aged 35+) who has never been to WDW and said that it would be perfect for Auntie to get to go up into the castle on her first trip. I almost cried with joy - not sure what made me happier, her thinking about her aunt like that or that she is not too cool to hang with the princesses!

So guess who'll be on the phone at the crack o'dawn on Sept. 5?

Thanx everyone for the nice replies - I am very happy my DD (going on 30) still wants to have breakfast with Cinderella - I will be sad when that stops and I can picture myself as an old woman eating alone at CRT while my kids hang out with the video games at Disney Quest. :)

Ratpack - you and I should go together !

mcnuss - good luck on Sept 5!

when they ask for a CC they don't just hold it they charge 30$ right? and then they deduct that 30$ the day of the meal? when you recieve your bill right?

Angela

Hi Angela

They take your credit card and charge 10.00 per adult and 5.00 per child.

When you get your bill at the table in CRT it shows the whole amount of the meal and then deducts your deposit and leaves the balance.. then you add your tip and pay.

Last year we took my 13 yo brother to PSB, even though he protested- it was my first meal with the Princesses, so he gave in. Plus, we were paying and he was hungry ;) I was all ready for the "too cool" attitude, but he actually wanted his picture taken with the "girls"---AND, he didn't rub off the lipstick from when Snow White kissed him on the cheek--so I guess even 13 yos still believe!

We are doing CRT this year (thanks again Tammydel), and I can only hope he still enjoys it. He did say, "it would be cool to eat in the Castle" and "Abbey (one of the 5yos we're taking) would like to eat with the princesses, you know." So, hopefulyl he won't be too cool, maybe we can have just this one more year....... :)

Congrats, Cass, hope you have a magical breakfast! ps- love your signature photo, your daughter is a cutie!

It certainly sounds as if it is getting easier to make a ps for CRT for breakfast. Hopefully I will be lucky when I try to make one for us for our trip in October!!!

I want to try to get CRT for October also. Can anyone just review the strategy with me...are you calling the regular 1-407-w-disney number or something different? And its 7 am easter time, correct?? Thanks! We did CRT two years ago when we got someone else's cancellation, but last year we stuck with Norway. I'd like to get us back into CRT this year with my two little princesses, ages 1 1/2 and 5!

I posted this earlier but no replies... so....

does anyone know that the Princesses in Norway hae the same fee's set aside like CRT?

also when do the charges go on your account?

angela

Hi.. good luck in October.

The number is 1 407 wdw-dine

I started calling a couple of minutes before 7:00am eastern.

You will hear a recording - thank you for calling disney dining - our office is now closed etc...

Then right at 7:00 it changed to Thank you for calling Disney dining - for dining reservations press 1

Don't even wait for the choices - just pound "1" :)

Hope it works out for you

Thanks Cass -

I get too nervous when booking ps, that is why I stopped doing it and inlisted someone else to do it. I had to make my first ps in about two years on Thursday for Chef Mickeys and I was a bag of nerves doing it and that was only CM. I don't know what state I will be in trying to book CRT. I did make a ps for Afternoon Tea at the GF today and I was a little better, so fingers crossed.
