booked but it includes a french bank holiday arghh!

I've taken the plunge and booked myself and DD 3 for 1st June for 2 nights staying at Newport bay.

We arrive on eurostar early afternoon on the Monday.

I thought I had checked everything but after booking it I have just realised Mon 1st June is a french bank holiday!!!

How bad on past experience is it likely to be - busy wise. Will it just be the Monday or will it stay busier all week.

Any perks of the holiday eg will the park stay open until 10, fireworks etc?

oh dear I think it probably will be very busy on the Monday but it might only be that day.

Theres a good chance the park will be open later that night but there wont be any fireworks

If it's just the Monday then you should be ok for the rest of your trip.

I'd imagine people would go for either a long weekend or just the day.

Monday will be busy but it should die down around 6pm. You may be lucky and have the park open to 8 or 10pm but there won't be any special fireworks etc
