Thats great news! Where do you fancy staying?

DW wants to go back to Country Inn and Suites where we stayed last August but its gone up from £20/night to £35 this year, I guess most of it is down to poor exchange rate, it does include free wireless internet and a great breakfast, fridge in room & microwave. No rush to book, if no bargains pop up I will go for that.

Great price. Congratulations on the new trip!:goodvibes

Couldn't resist American Airlines 4 days sale.:rotfl2:

Was supposed to be cutting down this year, only the 1 trip in August but £322pp from manchester May Half term school hol, Total for 3 of us Total: £965.70. Virgin £2,133.60

:) What you like....There does seem to be some bargains to be had for May half term abroad this year - which makes a nice change as its usually extortunate...We've booked Menorca for May...but WDW here we come in July...Have a good one Wayne.

Kx

Well done Wayne I hope you and your family have a great time!!
Are those prices for direct? I wish I'd held my nerve and waited now instead of the treck to Heathrow!!
Just over 3 months to go..........yay!!

Well done Wayne, fantastic price. I have spent the last 2 days looking at prices for May, not that I have any money to go, but I like looking.

I'm off now to see if I can pursuad DH to go, although I know what the answer will be.

At least next year you can go as soon as the exams are over in June and you should be able to get a real bargin! Although those prices are cheap. I've never done indirect before, what happens if you miss a connection, do they put you on the next one for no extra cost?

Also do AA have seat back movies?

Indirect, We are lucky we like going indirect, get immigration done before Orlando.
We went down to Heathow last Oct half term, it was half the cost of Manchester, only cost £240 each with NWA, least we have ever paid for the best airline we have used.

Yes they put you on the next flight (if there is one) thankfully never had that problem, coming back we had choice of 50 mins or 3hr 45, we have gone for the 3hr 45mins could possibly have done the 50 mins but any delay we would have struggled. Now have time for a good lunch in Chicago airport then we can miss the plane food.
We once missed a flight from Heathrow to LAX, Virgin just put us on the next one 3 hours later, they were great about it.

Not sure about seat back TVs, I can't remember last time its not something I bother about, I sleep or listen to MP3 player, no idea how anyone can get interested in a movie on a tiny screen.:goodvibes

Great price Wayne :thumbsup2 didn't think you'd be able to wait until August

I'm pricing up flights at the moment for Christmas, but we've never gone indirect before.

Excellent news Wayne. At that price it would be rude not to:cool1:

I love American Airlines deals - we got Easter for £345 return each. Sure we have to connect, but BA and VA wanted £650 return each. £300 well saved IMO!

Great price for Easter, last 2 Easters we have managed to get Virgin Miles and Money fares, £290 in 2007 & £410 last year, no way would I pay £650.
A few years ago I would pay a premium to fly Virgin but with decline in service in recent years we are just as happy taking a better quality indirect airline. Last Oct I was amazed with NWA(that was the bargain of the year at £240).

Thats great news Wayne!:thumbsup2 We only booked last week ourselves for the May half term.:cool1:

At the end of the day we have our DVC points to use for accommodation, we have all our APs for all the parks, the kids are off and so is DH so DH booked it for me as a surprise.:cloud9:

We are having to go on the Saturday due to school but we got a good price with US Airways(have no idea what they are like as we haven't used them before).

So, see you there and if not....see you in August!!

No idea where we will stay yet, seen Fairfield Inn LBV at £34/night today. same price as Country Inn, very similar hotel quality. Will leave it for now see if any better offers turn up.
We could have possibly waited and gone in Oct but having AP that expire early August swung the May trip (as well as flight price)
We will take Matt out of school for 2 days, they don't do anything the last 2 days.
USairways, not used for a few years but they were OK, ask for Chesley B Sullenberger for your pilot, he knows how to handle a plane, especially over rivers:goodvibes
Hope to see you there this time.

Oct 07 was last time we used the, we did MAN~ORD~LAS internal flight LAS~LAX (Could have driven it easy enough) LAX~ORD~MAN cost us Total: £1446.60(£482.20pp) incl internal flight.
No problems tranatlantic I slept both ways as usual. All internal flights were great, loads of legroom. We didn't have seatback tv's but 18 months later I don't know what they are using.
