I'm so excited!!! DH and I just booked our trip in December:cool1:. We had been planning on a January trip, but saw free dining was available and decided to snag it up! We have never been in December. We have also never stayed at POR. We usually book Pop. We have never had a dining plan either. I can't wait. Any favorite places to eat? Any advice on what building to request. {We have a garden view room} Anything special you like to do at the world during december?? Feel free to share......thanks in advance!pixiedust:

Yay! Congrats! What are your dates ? DH & will be there from the 7th-15th. LOVE december at disney!

Some things you may do:
Mickeys very merry christmas party at the MK

The Osbourne Dancing lights at Hollwood studios are a MUST (Fantasmic as well)

Epcot: Chriistmas around the world.

DH & I also love to just go around to all of the resorts looking at the decorations. Truly beautiful.

As far as eating: We love to eat at California Grill in the Contemporary resort, and watch the fireworks from the restaurant. pixiedust:

How exciting! Have fun.
Via Napoli is wonderful for lunch or dinner in Italy at Epcot.
I second the Osborne lights at DHS and we love the Candlelight Processional at Epcot

Is the Candlelight processional something extra? Since we have the dining plan, does that count for anything with it?

Candlelight can be done using the DDP, but it does cost 2 credits and you might want to call asap.

MVMCP does cost extra, but it is extremely nice.

Favorite breakfasts:
Tusker & Crystal Palace before the parks open
Favorite Lunch:
Le Cellier
Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic package reserve seating
Favorite Dinners
Boma in AKL
Raglan Road DTD

We booked the Fantasmic package!! First time doing this as well :).

You didn't mention that you are taking any kids so I"m assuming it's just you adults.

In our experience last year, we found the food at the resorts to be MUCH better then the parks. So, since you have the FREE dining plan, look into some nice restaurants.

Our favorite last time was The Wave at the Contemporary. It was truly fantastic.

No kids!! Yet. :). I will look into the resorts. We heard great things about the wave :) Dining sure takes this to a whole different level.

You will love Disney in December! It is the BEST! I'm not sure what to mention as everyone else has mentioned a lot of it. I'd definitely do the Candlelight Processional dining package. The stand by line is really really long from what I saw a few years back. We went to Osborne Lights twice during the week because it drew me in! :) They are beyond magical. It makes me smile just thinking about it. We went to the Christmas party. It was ok. If I had to pick between the Candlelight Processional dining package and the party, I'd skip the party. It was ok but the night we were there it was crowded etc. Of course, that's just me. :) Oh, be prepared for Christmas when you get home! Once home the holiday just sneaks right up on you. I learned that lesson the hard way!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!

How long is the candlelight processional? Do they offer it for lunch and dinner or just dinner?? Also, will the resorts be decorated for the holidays??
