Hi,
We booked a 2 bedroom for our June trip. We leave 4 hours after our son graduates from high school! It will be me, dh, ds (18) and ds friend (17). We wanted our home resort of BWV but 2 bedrooms standard and pool/garden view were not available. So we are at SSR, however we've gone on the waitlist for BWV. What are the thoughts out there? We won't have a car and are fine with bus, etc.
Thanks!

I absolutely love SSR and the 2 BRs are very nice and spacious. The common living area separates the bedrooms so you and your DH will have some privacy and so will the boys. The walkways to DTD can't be beat and I know your DS and his friend will enjoy going off on their own there while you and DH enjoy a "beverage". :thumbsup2

Have fun!

Our older kids love SSR. We haven't stayed there over the last two trips and they requested to go back. They love walking or taking the boat over to DTD.

Thanks for the information. I think I'll drop the waitlist!

We like BWV better than SSR...to walk to and from Epcot and HS (or take boat). We hate the buses. We do a lot of meals at Epcot and the Boardwalk area resorts have a ton of dining options. Wait...you've stayed there...you know all the positives.

My SIL and her family always do SSR and they have 3 teens (18, 16 and 13). They request the building in Congress park that is closest to Downtown Disney (it's a 2 minute walk on the path...very quick and easy...but unlit and dark at night). Her oldest (boys) love to go to and from DTD...they like to get coffee (?) at Ghiradellis and lunch at Earl of Sandwich. I, personally, could only make that go so far before I'd tire of it...but my SIL swears her kids prefer to stay at SSR for that.

We're taking our daughter and her 3 friends (all 17) for a week in March and that's where she wanted to stay because of Downtown Disney. She has stayed at SSR, OKW, BCV, VWL and this is her second trip bringing friends. DisneyQuest passes are a must. Dad and I sit on the patio at the House of Blues until they come out of DQ at 11pm and walk or boat back to the resort. It's beautiful.

My older sons are very jealous since they aren't going this time!
