Can anyone tell me if this is doable and even worth it? I am thinking about throwing together a last minute trip for my 2 oldest (7 and 6) sometime during June. With all the hulabaloo about the baby, I haven't been able to get much mommy and me time in with them, and I thought this would be a good way to do it. However, it would need to be June, busiest hottest time LOL because I go back to work in July from maternity leave. I need to keep the trip as cheap as possible, but dont want to be stuck in lines. So I was thinking of pricelining it for the day of arrival, 1 night on property should get me FOTL day of checkin and checkout right?

It would work. Last year we took multi-day passes and because of FOTL we were able to do everything we wanted in both parks in one day- we saved the remaining days for another trip. I will never go to universal without staying onsite as long as they offer FOTL. But only staying one night does not leave much time to visit the hotel itself.

Oh my gosh... so worth it - don't even think about going without front of the line access... especially with 2 kids.

It's like you are a VIP..........just breeze right through, your kids will think you are Super-Mom! :D

So it wont matter that I only stay one night? I will still get FOTL for both days?

Yes you get Universal Express from time of check in till midnight of your check out day... :p

You'd be NUTS not to do it!

We are checking in HRH by 9am(after 4 nights at BCV) on June 26 for one night. They told us that you get FOL privilages for TWO days, check-in and check-out day. We have 2-day passes and plan to do all we want with FOL on first day and hang out at the super pool on check-out day. We drive so we have no real schedule. Can't wait!

I just did this for our family. We're on a 7 day DCL cruise the end of July. I booked the PBR for Sat. nite, as we leave the ship that day around 9 AM, plan on checking into hotel early & spending that day at USF & will have to leave next day to head home.

Since we have only the 1 day, I decided spending the extra money for a on-site stay was really going to be worth it mainly for FOTL. With the entertainment card rate I was able to get PBR for $170 (HRH & RPH were not avail. for enter. rate on my date). I guessed I could easily spend $100 off site, so $70 more for FOTL all day for 5 people seemed like a great bargain. Since you'll get 2 days of this, it would really be worth it IMHO.

They have 2 queens and you can get a roll-away for an extra $20 or $25 I think. I'm considering trying 3 kids on 1 queen with them positioned going horizontally --they don't need all that length at the end of the bed. Just turn them so their heads are on one side, feet are on other, and, presto, you can put three in where two usually fit (of course, not if they're older and/or larger). We have tried this once before and it worked out o.k. (though not fabulous). We did have a rollaway then but it was so uncomfortable, no one would sleep on it, which is why we did it this way. (you do need an extra pillow this way also). Hope this helps! :D

Ok I was able t get a great ENT rate so we are definetly going. Now my DH wants to invite his kid borther to go with us, it is our 10 year anniversary and he says he would like some alone time in the evenings. So my question is, if we pay extra for a rollaway bed, will HRH let us have a 6th person in the room or is that a big NO-NO?

BTW this has turned from a mommy and me trip, to a mommy and everyone except the newborn trip! LOL I guess no one feels they are getting the proper amount of attn from me, LOL Including my DH! :p

Can you use the entertainment rate for just one night now? I recall a thread awhile ago that said Universal required you stay a certain number of nights in order to get the entertainment rate.

My son would love to visit IOA and US. FOTL has kept me from doing it. I hate the idea standing in line while all the on site guest go to the front of the line. Now, if we could get a great rate for one night at RP, I'd be more than happy to visit both parks.

If you only have one day in each park, can you really see and do everything?

yes, I had no trouble.......

this is my first experience with both USF/PBR and using an entertainment card. When I called 1-800-BE A STAR, I had no problems with booking for just 1 nite. I had not yet ordered my enter. card (as I wanted to make sure I could get the rate 1st). The staff doing my ressie just reminded me I had to have the card at check-in. Went ahead and ordered the card for my geographical region and am pleased with multiple other "deals" I will be able to take advantage of from the book that comes with the actual card.

About sleeping 6----don't know answer to this. I'd call & ask for advice.
