We want to book the HRH for August 23 & 24. Should we do this now with AAA rate or hold out for specials that may come out latter? Maybe better ticket specials later also? We are 3 Adults so kids free special dosen't work for us. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I would book the AAA rate now. You will likely be charged a one night deposit, although I have heard that if you book on line, they never actually charge the deposit. I always book by phone and have been charged the deposit about 50% of the time. Then keep an eye on the rates. If your room rate is lowered before your travel date, then they will be happy to make the adjustment. I had a room reserved at the rate of $283. I was later able to get that adjusted to $231! That saved me over $300 for my 6 night stay.

As far as tickets are concerned, I am not sure you will do better than the $99 bonus passes that are available now. Unless you are looking into AP's. 365 days admission for $179 is quite a bargain. Have fun!

AP sounds like a great deal but we would not be able to use it again this year.
Thanks for your help. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :grouphug:

How often do the rates actually drop? Does this happen in any season?
Thanks!

My family and I are going the last week of March and staying at the RPH. I started booking my room online in Mid-January and the price was $289 for a standard view room at the FL resident rate. Then it dropped a week later to $229 for a water view room, then to $209. Just two nights ago I re-book my Standard view room for $149. I made all my ressies online and was able to book and cancel easily, the room deposit isnt taken until 14 days prior to check-in when you use the web, so changes arent a problem. If you do use the online system and you do cancel and re-book make sure you keep the cancellation notices (they send those through email) just to make sure they don't double pop your card.

Did you book directly through the Loews site or the Universalorlando site? If it's the Universal site, can you add your tickets and not be charged also until 14 days prior too?

On the Loews site it says
Additional Information:
CANCEL DEADLINE: CANCEL 5 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL.; DEPOSIT REQUIRED

Also, where do you put in the AAA discount information?

in the space for promotional codes. you can also put APH for annual pass holder to see if that would save you even more money.

when the rate drops, and i have already booked my stay, i call universal direct and they modify my rate.

what i have over paid for the first night is deducted from the final tally whe i check out.

always book now, modify when rates drop
