Okay, we know we are going to want to do a 7 day by the time we get done with our 4 day. My question is whether I should book the 7 day now or book while onboard during our 4 day cruise. We are looking at the May 1st cruise in 2004. Are there still incentives to rebook onboard and if so can someone refresh my memory what they are? Advantages/disadvantages?

PS...I tried the search function but it was disabled again. Thanks!

$200 on board credit and Castaway Club party and as of the present one DCL towel per cabin.

You can always change your date if you have to and you will still keep the on board credit.

My vote is to book onboard.

I would think if you want something specific it might be wise to do it now. We are doing the 4 day at the end of June, and have booked 2 connecting SPH rooms for 7/3/04. I'm sure by our cruise they would have been gone. If you only need one room in a certain category, you can probably wait.

We will only need one cabin, preferably a cat 6 again. I will probably transfer to DU unless there is a bigger incentive to book onboard. I'm still not sure what to do. The last thing I want is to wait for a bigger incentive, and the price goes up which would wipe out the incentive to begin with. But then it's a matter of coming up with the deposit while saving up for this trip. Decisions, decisions!! Thanks for the replies!

Book now. When onboard, calculate to see if you save money by booking onboard and getting the $200 credit, or if you saved more by booking early. If the price has remained the same, cancel the existing reservation and rebook on board to get the $200. If the price has jumped by $1000, then keep what you have and feel good knowing the $200 was small change compared to the Early Booking Savings.
