Wondering if I should wait to book for our Aug/Sept. trip...flying from Flint, MI.? It's $89 each way now...I've never seen it cheaper...hmmm...what would you do??

I think $89 one way is a good price. Anytime I can get flights for under $200 round trip is good for me!

Book now!!!! And then send some pixie dust my way please!
:thumbsup2

I'm trying to book Airtran Rochester to Orlando for August and in the past we have had great rates like the 89 you are seeing! One time we even got 69 in each direction and we were loving it!

Right now we are seeing like 124 and 149 for our dates! :scared1: We have 7 people flying and the difference really adds up! We are holding out for an $89 rate. If mine was 89 I would book today for sure!

If we don't get it down some we might try the train for the first time.

We like our inexpensive Airtran flights but it might not work out for us this time. :confused3

Hmmm....now I'm nervous...I really wasn't ready to book TODAY! It's $89 going down and $99 going back....I know that's a good deal....I guess I'm just really looking for a deal with six of us flying!

Book it...most likely not gonna find a better deal than that. Seriously....you will kick yourself if you wait.
I know I did....:rolleyes1

really? I'm pretty sure I won't find a better rate too...It just wasn't really in the budget to purchase them this soon. What rate did you see and what did it end up going to? I know last years we book in March...so I'm wondering if they will still be a these prices for a couple weeks?? Ahhh..decisions decisions!:rotfl:

Really I can't imagine you'll see much lower fares than that!! Maybe about $10 less or so but is it worth the chance that they'll probably go up. If you are serious about going I wouldn't wait!!

Book it - I saw tickets to Seattle in August for $250 yesterday and wanted to talk with my hubby first. Went to buy them this morning and it was over $470 - is there a crying icon?..

Book it! It's not likely your going to see anything cheaper.

Our trip was 1/30-2/5 (we just got back sunday) and when I booked the trip it wasn't in our budget for the tickets either. The closer we got (thru the holidays) of course the budget is stretched so I waited even though I had seen the rates drop about $80 rd trip per person. (we fly out of DTW, as we live close to the airport)

Anyway I didn't book them. I kept watching the rates go higher and higher. Then I couldn't get the times I wanted for anything under $300 per person!!
So we ended up booking Spirit for what we though was cheaper (around $185 per person), only to find out that they charged not only for a checked bag but for carry on bags too!!!

So it was another $85 each way for us to fly this "cheap" airline. Ended up paying $260 per person!!!

Take my advice, when you think you found a deal......take it.

At that rate, BOOK IT !!! You'll kick yourself if you wait, and the fares go back up.

Glad you booked it. I'm hoping for a similar deal for DH and I. In Dec we got roundtrip for a total of $387 for both of us. Hope to get that again for September. Glad you found some good prices!
