We have always flown with Jetblue and I have not heard to many good things about Delta but their fares for early November are pretty good right now. Jetblues are high as well as all the other airlines. We would be flying out from JFK in NY. I would like to wait to see if Jetblues fares go down but they seem high for Sep, Oct as well as Dec. Any advice would be MUCH appreciated!:)

If you see a great fare book it..Ive flown both and both are fine for traveling to Orlando. Or book it and you have 24hrs to cancel so you can recheck the fares tomorrow on JetBlue to see any price change..:goodvibes
I just booked from Hartford to Orlando for 270. per person, a little high but not chancing losing the fare..I worked for American for 15 years in Reservations and know the inventory goes quick at a times...

I would say go ahead and book it!! In fact, my mom and myself just booked our airfare on Delta to go to WDW in January as it was a steal! As far as Delta Airlines itself goes, it has been pretty good for us. Since I'm assuming your flying economy (we usually fly this class), it is pretty good for a legacy carrier. Our planes have been clean and in decent condition, the flight attendants in economy have always treated us well and have been very helpful, the seats are decent (better than AA and Spirit imho, not quite as good as jetBlue), and you are offered a free beverage and snack (peanuts or Biscoff cookies). Our flights have usually been early or ontime and we have had quick baggage delivery (better than jetBlue and AA) in as little as 10 minutes, though this may be just luck. Checking a bag costs $25, but we have a Delta Skymiles Gold Card, which allows 1 checked bag for the card holder and up to 8 others in their party. On the JFK-MCO route, you may get a plane that has TV and power ports to charge electronics (check on Delta's website by inputing your date and flight number). As far as the airports themselves: Orlando is nice, but Delta's JFK Terminals 2 & 3 are old and kind of dirty and the food options are not as good as jetBlue's Terminal 5. I hope you have a great trip and I hope this helped you!

We just bought tickets on Delta yesterday for a late October flight (not to WDW). Delta was MUCH cheaper than SWA and the flight schedule was perfect. Now I'm hoping that Delta doesn't change the flight schedule much. We flew Delta one year and they changed our schedule at least 8 times from the time we bought tickets until we actually flew, but that was also when we purchased airfare about 8 months in advance.

I otherwise enjoy flying Delta. We have had good experiences with Delta's professional flight attendants (we have witnessed bickering flight attendants on both United and SWA flights) and flights landing early!

Thank you so much despina, disneywlf and Luv2Diz! You all put my mind at ease with booking Delta. I know all airlines can have their problems and the destination is Disney so that is the main thing! If we had to pay the prices I see on the other airlines we would have a big problem. Going to go for it. Can't wait for November!!!:)

May I ask a question about this policy? Do you have to buy the tickets with the skymiles Gold Card for the free luggage to qualify, or do I just need to show the card at the desk?

I was able to pick up Chicago to New York for next spring break for $116/person. Free luggage would make it an amazing deal!

No, you don't have to buy the tickets with the card. The card is tied to your skymiles # and anytime you have a reservation with your skymiles # on it, it automatically picks up the 1 free bag for you and everyone on your reservation (up to 10 people?). I have received the free bag on tickets purchased with my corporate Visa. There is no fee the first year, it will pickup $95 on the anniversary so be sure to cancel before then if you don't want to renew.
