Book cruise w/DU & then convert to Points???

Does anyone know if I can book with a cruise with Dreams (I want the secret porthole rooms) outside the 11 month window & then convert reservation to points once the 11 month window is open?

No, you can't do that. DVC reservations must be reserved thru MS and they can't accept a cruise reservation made with another agency (DU won't accept a booking from another agency either).

In this case, MS is a travel agency and handles our reservations independently.

That does make it tough to get a Cat 10 on Deck 5 though!

I am not sure but I don't think you can. What MS would do is cancel your current resv and rebook you on points. So you may lose that secret porthole room that you want or you may not. It depends on when they rebook you if your room is still there and if they can reblock that room for you. Good luck.
