Book cruise #3 now or wait 2 months until #2?

We are sailing on cruise #2 3 night in Oct. We are looking at sailing again in spring 2004 and trying to get one of the secret porthole rooms. We have gotten several quotes already.

Now to the questions- How much of a discount or on board credit are they giving for return cruisers now? Should we go ahead and try to book one of the secret porthole rooms now if we can get it or should we wait 2 months until we sail? Room 5020 is already booked for the week in March 2004 that we are looking at- we are just concerned that they will all be booked by the time we sail.

Recent cruisers is the rebooking discount or credit worth waiting and rolling the dice for???

If you are looking to book a secret porthole room, you'd better grab it while you can (IF you can!). With all the PR those rooms get on this board, they aren't available for long. I <I>think</I> onboard booking credit is still $200 for the 7-day, $100 for the 3 or 4 day....always subject to change of course ;-).

grab it , then u can cancel onboard and rebook to get the on board credit... they applied the credit to our trip cause we already had# 5 booked , price did go down also, but we did book 6 on board
so in summary Grab it now and if they do not apply the credit as they did for us just book another cruise same cat... when u get home have DCL switch the rooms around and then u will get the credit ... and the rooom u want ...
brother inlaw got in on $99.00 dollar cruise he was in cat 10
SPR.. when he rebooked they could not garantee the room but they could the catagory so we booked cat 10 secret porthole room for same cruise .... then when he got his room assignment it was not a Secret porthole room so we switched rooms and the canceled our reservation .... actually we upgraded to cat 7 Nav verandah .... so now he has a secret porthole room for his $99.00 cruise ..... Not the cat 3 but he for us common folk ...... lol
