Boohoo - just cancelled SPR for 11/16

I just cancelled our secret porthole room for the November 16 Wonder sailing. Not sure if anyone on the boards will be on that sailing but it's available as of now.

We're going to Hilton Head instead. I'm a little disappointed because I'm sure the cruise would be awesome but I just got back from a whirlwind trip to Disney and I want to relax and spread out in a big villa and not have to rush from activity to activity the way I know I will want to if we cruise. Maybe there's a cruise in our future in 2006 or 2007. I want to thank you all for the info I have gathered and know it will come in handy one day. With 39 years left of our DVC membership, I know we'll be cruising on points some day!

P.S. For any DVCers out there who are contemplating using points to cruise, don't forget if you have to cancel, the points become "reservation points" and they can't be used for the regular DVC resorts. Our stay at Hilton Head will be a cash basis (ouch). We plan to use these reservation points to stay on the concierge level at the Grand Californian in June.

sorry to hear youre giving up your SPR - thanks for posting it

We had to give up our SPR last 11/30 but we upgraded to a verandah for 11/8

I remember your saga from last year. I'm glad you were able to reschedule. The points are pretty steep for a cruise but I think next time we'll pay cash for one and points for one and it will definitely be the full 7 night cruise.
