Boo To You, our pirate adventure at Caribbean Beach Resort

Goodness gracious! I was waaaaaaay behind and missed several updates. I seriously don't remember getting emails saying you had updated. But, then again, I was having all sorts of troubles with the Disboards for a week or so.

Anyhoo, I'm all caught up again. I absolutely adore the costumes. What a nice person to stop and take your picture as a group!

Hi,
I just found your PTR and TR...great job! It sounds like you had a great time so far. Can't wait to hear more!

whew I got behind. I love the costumes there all very very cute. Sounds like Ethan was excited about the party that night. Hope you all had fun at it.

Great! :goodvibes

Tricia's Family and Consumer Science (Home Economics) class made blankets for Project Linus and she thought it was "an easy project that could make a big difference to needy children."

(I'm sure their sewing wasn't as nice as yours, though!) ;)

Kathy
Good for Tricia! Every little bit helps. And I am sure she did a great job, blankets aren't as difficult as things with sleeves.

I think Disboards has been sending out fewer notices. Thanks for reading along, now I need to post an update!

The party was so much fun! Pictures coming up!

I left off at the Main Street Emporium... we spilled out onto a very crowded Main Street. I had a tight grip on Ethan and we merged into the crowd headed up the street towards the castle, which had an eerie glow. We were working our way towards the castle for a picture and then out to Tomorrowland for more Trick-or-Treating.

We found a Photopass photographer pretty easily and waited our turn. We didn't have to wait very long, and I placed my Trick-or-Treat bag on the ground out of the walkway, along with my camera bag and backpack. Ron and the kids placed their bags there as well.

Our Picture:

We picked up our bags and walked away. DH looked in his bag and noticed that it wasn't his. It was mine, my carrot cake from dinner was in there. I looked in my bag and I realized it wasn't mine, or any of ours, there wasn't any gems in mine. Luckily the kids had gotten their bags. I was the odd man out, so I gave my bag to DH, threw away the melting carrot cake, and then I put the bag that didn't belong to us back on the ground near the Photopass sign. I decided that I would start over, or just skip the treats, since I didn't want to eat any of the candy anyways.

We headed over the bridge into Tomorrowland and found another trick or treat line. I didn't see any CM's with any more bags so I just walked Ethan through the line. We saw the Dance Party, it looked like a lot of fun, but the kids wanted to ride some more rides and it was getting close to the time to meet Kathy and family. So we started back towards Adventure land. The line for Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin was really long so we skipped that and tried to cross back through the hub. It was really crowded because of the Villian's Mix and Mingle but a helpful CM pointed out a way through.

We made our way to the Aloha Isle, Dole Whip and we quickly saw Kathy and family. Nervous Greetings were exchanged  and introductions were given. It didn't take long to feel at ease with Kathy and her Family. Our husbands enjoyed talking about the World Series and the kids. Catie and Tricia were kind enough to take our picture.

We quickly found a prime viewing spot for the fireworks along a railing.

I took this picture of the castle and we chatted about their travel day and our day at DHS the day before.

The fireworks were fantastic! Hallowishes is a great show. Then we headed over the bridge to Liberty Square and Frontierland. We wanted to stake a claim for prime Parade viewing places. Kathy had a great spot in mind but when we got there it was already taken. Soon we had another location staked out. Ron and Abby, and Catie, Tricia, Billy and Ed went to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad together. Kathy, Ethan and I kept tabs on the spot. Soon a family of Claim jumpers with some strollers came along and sat on the ground in front of us. :sad2:

Thankfully some CM's came along putting up the ropes for the parade route. The family had to move, and our claim was safe again. The rope ran right up against the boardwalk so the kids could sit safely on the ground without anyone sitting in front of us.:yay:

It wasn't long before they came back from wildest ride in the west, and Ron, Abby, and Kathy went to get some popcorn and sodas. They were really close by but it took a while and they almost missed the start of the parade. The Headless Horseman came galloping by
Boy was he fast

The parade was so much fun! We all loved it! At this point we said our goodbyes to Kathy and her family, we really enjoyed meeting her, Ed, Catie, Tricia and Billy! We headed through the crowd to the Haunted Mansion!

I hope to get a break and write another update tonight or tomorrow.

In the meantime, I submitted a request for a Big Red Box from the Mickey Moms Club.

Today, I got my big red box. It is full of lots of Disney Goodies, including a cute little pink totebag!

I should take some pictures, I just can't decide what to celebrate! I was hoping to save it for DH and my Birthdays at the end of May, but Disney wants you to host your celebration before April 30th.

After the parade we made our way over to the Haunted Mansion. The line was long, weaving around through the chains was quick, they were operating at full capacity. It really wasn't more than 10 or 15 minutes before we were inside the stretching room. Then when the door opened we went to the left. Usually we go to the right to exit. It was another loading area?:confused3

Anyways' we were impressed with how quickly we got to board and enjoy the Haunted Mansion. A great ride to enjoy at the Halloween Party.

After we left the Mansion there was a great Photo Opportunity ... get your picture taken with one of the 999 Happy Haunts.

We headed out to the left into FantasyLand. We wanted to find some more of the trick-or-treat stations. We were able to ride Peter Pan's Flight without a wait and then headed over to Mickey's ToonTown Fair to enter the longer Treat line. We followed the path behind ToonTown to TomorrowLand stopping at the Candy Barrels for treats. Lots of Candy!

When we exited we were near Buzz LightYear's Space Ranger Spin so we were able to hop aboard and enjoy the ride. It was getting quite late at that point and we headed out of the Magic Kingdom to find our bus stop back to the resort. pirate:

Heavens! Tricia and I did our make-up a bit on the heavy side as part of our costumes... I look a bit odd wearing so much eyeshadow! :rotfl:

Isn't it a funny feeling... "meeting" someone for the first time when you feel as though you already know them?? :goodvibes

I'm so glad we found each other so easily in that crowd!

Heh-Heh-Heh! pirate: They should've known not to mess with us pirates!!

He sure was! I don't feel so bad about missing him... I probably wouldn't have been able to get a picture anyway!!

I agree! One of the highlights of the party was seeing that fabulous parade... another was meeting you and your family! :goodvibes
