Welcome, foolish mortals.

I am your host, your...trip report host. Kindly step all the way in please and make room for WDW fun. There's no turning back now...

Our tour begins here in this gallery where you see paintings of some of our guests as they appeared in their corruptible, mortal state.

Your cadaverous pallor betrays an aura of foreboding, almost as though you sense a disquieting metamorphosis.

Either that...or we just ran in the Tower of Terror 10 mile race.

Is this trip report actually stretching? Or is it your imagination, hmm? And consider this dismaying observation: This trip report has no windows and no doors, which offers you this chilling challenge: to find a way out!

Of course, there's always my way.

Hello disboards!!

As you could probably guess, this is my pre trip report for our upcoming Tower of Terror 10 mile run!

I'm Rachel, and my BF Brian of probably 10+ years now (but who's counting?).

We met while attending THE Ohio State University, and have been together ever since. We are living in Columbus, Ohio though that might change soon to somewhere in Texas. I'm an attorney and Brian is a materials science engineer.

Now...who wants obligatory pet photos?! ::yes::

Here is our cat Toulouse, modeling his magic band and ready to go to Disney.

He also has his ear hat already.

And our little mini Husky shelter dog, Sirius.

He has been helping me to train for the TOT 10 miler all summer!

This will be our 3rd TOT race. We have both been to Disney alot together, and this trip we will be joined by Brian's mom and his sister Stephanie.

That is all of us at the TOT after party last year, except Mary, on the extreme right, who will sadly not be joining us this year.

I just love my face in this picture. I'm like, Cruella, I just ran 10 miles. I know your making an awful face, but I just can't even. I'll just stand here and give the camera a glassy eyed stare.

And just to include this picture because I love it, this is from last year's TOT race.

I hope these guys are there again this year, I love the FOTLK animals so much!

Anyway, here are some Disney details about us!

Me:

favorite meet able characters: Donald, he truly is the number one duck, Mulan, Pocahontas and I also have a major girl crush on Merida.

favorite rides (one from each park): Philharmagic, Safari, Spaceship Earth and Star Tours

favorite Disney movies: Lion King, Tangled, Mulan, Pocahontas, Swiss Family Robinson, Cars

Brian:

favorite meet able characters: talking Mickey, Alice, Meg and the storytime with Belle Belle because we have seen that show 4 times and he has been chosen as a knight every single time.

favorite rides (one from each park): POTC, Living with the Land, Great Movie Ride and Safari

favorite Disney movies: Robin Hood, Ratatouille, Wall-E

Well, now that the intros are out of the way...we can get onto the real fun of the trip planning in the next post!

What fun, you ask? Well, tons. You know we're running the TOT 10 mile...but I was also singing the Boo to You parade song, so maybe we're doing some Halloween parties, which probably involve epic costumes.

My husband & I are running the ToT too! Joining in!

Hello! Just clicked over to your pre-trip to start reading.

My training has consisted of this summer:

3 days a week I do my weight training, including a couple leg exercises.

I've been jogging 2+ miles 2 days a week, upped to 3 days a week this month.

I don't really feel like I'm ready at all. I am just not a great breather while running, Brian thinks I may even have some sort of work out induced asthma. I try to work at it but my breathing never gets any better. :confused3

Anyway...onto more exciting things! Trip details!

Oh, I didn't mean to frighten you prematurely; the real chills come later. Now, as they say, look alive, and we'll continue our little pre-trip report. And let's all stay together, please. There are several prominent ghosts who have retired here from creepy old crypts from all over the world. Actually, we have 999 happy readers here, but there's room for a thousand. Any volunteers? If you insist on lagging behind, you may not need to volunteer. The carriage that will carry you into the moldering sanctum of the trip report world will accommodate you and one or two loved ones. Kindly watch your step as you board, please. We writers haunt our best in gloomy darkness, so remember, no flash pictures, please.

And now, a carriage approaches to carry you into the boundless realm of the Disney planning. Take your loved ones by the hand, please, and kindly watch your step. Oh yes, and no flash pictures, please! We writers are frightfully sensitive to bright lights.

Do not pull down on the safety bar, please; I will lower it for you. And heed this warning: the writer will materialize only if you remain quietly seated at all times.

This has been the first year we've had Annual Passes. Before this year, we would usually do one Disney trip a year, usually at Halloween or Christmas.

We did our typical Halloween trip last year to run the second TOT 10 Miler last year, but we invited Brian's mom and sister with us. It was Stephanie's first trip to WDW (she'd been to DL in high school a while ago) and his mom's first trip in about 20+ years.

They both fell in love with WDW and we all decided to get Annual Passes together. We immediately planned an early December trip, then a trip in May to do SWW (which I am finishing up my trip report for right now).

This will be our last trip on the AP as it expires October 3 :( So much sadness.

Originally we were going Sept 28 through Oct 6, then staying until Oct 10 to do Universal with our APs for there.

Since then Brian and I decided we might like to have some time just the 2 of us, so we decided to leave for Disney even earlier and go Thursday, Sept 25. He won't admit it, but I think Brian is pretty sad our APs are expiring and we'll go back to going once a year.

So here is our schedule as of today:

Sept 25 Thursday: travel down after getting my 40 hours in at work, we have FP+ for MK. Check in at All Star Music

Sept 26 Friday: today is going to be our epic character hunting day. We are going to try to go pics with as many characters as possible. We'll start out at MK, then head to Epcot to hope for character training, then over to DHS for characterpalooza, and hopefully the timing works so we can go to AK for the Dinoland dance party.

Sept 27 Saturday: in the morning and afternoon we're going to Epcot to watch Off Kilter and the other world showcase entertainment's last day, then we'll be headed to DHS for Dapper Day.

Sept 28 Sunday: we'll be sleeping in and then headed to our first MNSSHP! Costumes: Starlord and Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy. Sooo excited at how they're coming together.
-Stephanie and their mom will be getting to Disney this day, but they're going to the Frozen Premium package.
-we'll all be checking into Saratoga Springs together this day

Sept 29 Monday: Epcot day, dinner at Garden Grill

Sept 30 Tuesday: DHS

Oct 1 Wednesday: AK, maybe Epcot afterwards

Oct 2 Thursday: MK, MNSSHP. Costumes: probably Starlord and Gamora again

Oct 3 Friday: Keys to the Kingdom tour, last day of AP, probably go to Epcot for a bit after Keys
-check into Poly club level for a 1 night stay!! So excited about the Poly

Oct 4 Saturday: TOT 10 Miler race day. Breakfast at Ohana. We'll use our complimentary Blizzard Beach passes to do some lazy river relaxing midday. Then it is race time and then the after party! It will be Brian and my 3rd TOT 10 mile, and Stephanie and their mom's first, they ran the 5k last year.
-check into All Star Music again

Oct 5 Sunday: most likely lots of sleeping in, lunch at Sanna. Last MNSSHP. Costumes: Merida and Jack Sparrow

Oct 6 Monday: early dinner at Raglan Road, so probably walking around DD. Maybe we'll do a trail ride or rent canoes.

Oct 7 Tuesday: check out of Music and head to Hard Rock hotel, pick up my friend Ashley from the airport and being the Universal portion of the trip.

Oct 8 Wednesday: Universal

Oct 9 Thursday: Universal and HHN

Oct 10 Friday: depart

Wow that is a long and totally epic trip. I am so much excite. :goodvibes
