You are a master of suspense! This is SO cool!!
Ha ha...I'm not trying to be suspenseful. I think it's just how the trip was...full of surprises.

Amazing! Just the fact that your kids got to experience that is wonderful.

I know, DH and I were just talking about that. It will always be such a wonderful childhood memory for them. I feel they were the perfect age to experience it. I can see them taking their own kids someday and telling them all about it.

Wow!!! That suite is so amazing!!! So happy you are sharing your experience. I will probably never get to stay there but at least I now know what it looks like. :)

So cute that you have to knock 3 times and say Bibbiddi Boppity Boo to get the door to open.

I love Splash Mountain. Easily my favorite ride in MK and I am so bummed that it will be closed when we are there in Jan.

Awesome that Lisa walked you right to the front of the line and then went on it with you. How fun.

Wonderful TR and can't wait to see Alexa's BBB transformation and the fun you have at MNSSHP. Plus of course more pics of the suite. :)

I loved the little secret knock...you should try it out next time you walk by the castle door and see if you can get a tour. You never know.:confused3 Splash Mountain became our absolute favorite ride. Great memory for us! It was closed when we were there in February and we were disappointed, so I know how you feel. Lisa was so fun! We had a great time with all the guides. I'm extremely jealous of their jobs.

Your report is superb, the castle suite looks amazing

Thank you! It really is so amazing!

Oh my goodness!!!! How amazing. I just love that last photo of your DD looking out the window in her dress. Magical!
Thank you....That is one of my favorite pictures. :lovestruc My kids spent a lot of time looking out those windows. Very Magical!

This is bringing back so many lovely memories :goodvibes

I hope you got to use the bath, it looked amazing but we never had the time plus not sure it would have fitted the 6 of us and that we all had our swimsuits :rotfl:

How cool your DD is off to BBB straight from the castle :)
I bet this is bringing back great memories for you! Time sure does go by so fast, doesn't it? But we did all get a chance to use the bath! It is big, but I think 6 would be a little crowded. :crowded:
And yes...DD was living a real life fairy tale!!princess:

Wow- Just wow.. I cant even imagine how great this must have been.... Love how the clock stays on 11:59. Too cool!!!

Splash is my favorite too!! :)) Cant wait to read more!
It was all the little details like the clock that made you feel like part of the story. More coming soon!

Just - WOW!
::yes::
Splash Mountain was the perfect ride pick! :thumbsup2 Your kids sure looked like they LOVED it in those pics! Doesn't it melt your heart seeing them so happy!?

hahahah! A human FP.... love that!!

I can't get over your pics of the CASTLE SUITE!!!!! WOW!!! So magical! What a truly amazing experience! pixiedust:

Can't wait to read about your BBB experience and of course seeing more Castle pics!
I know, we fell in love with Splash Mountain on this trip. I love that we got to experience it the first time as the first ride of our castle experience...such a great memory. Oh and the human FP! Didn't take long for the kids to catch on to that.:rotfl: They were missing our guides the rest of the trip! It was an amazing experience. I'll have better pictures of the suite coming up.

This is just so awesome. I don't even know what to say but WOW!!!!!
It was just so awesome! My crappy pictures don't really do it justice. I know I said it before, but I really wish I could have brought you along to be our official photographer. :rotfl: You take the best pictures.

Joining in!

What a magical trip!!!! And what special memories for your children!!!
Thanks for joining in! It was so magical...very special memories that I hope they never forget.

Thank you! We got that dress at Gymboree....cool, comfortable and cute. You will see a matching swimsuit later in the report.

I am enjoying this trip report so much. I'm sitting here looking at these pictures, tearing up myself over the excitement you must be feeling. WOW-what an experience! Can't wait for more of this story! :thumbsup2

Thank you so much! It was such an awesome experience that I still can't believe happened to us. Thanks for your sweet comments.

So awesome! I can't even imagine what you all were feeling. I thought it was surreal to eat at CRT! :rotfl: I am loving this!
Yes...it is a very surreal feeling. Honestly, the decor and theme that you see at CRT, the BBB and the castle breezeway is very similar to what you see up in the suite.

If we were ever so lucky as to get picked to stay here. I must say I would just stay in the room and enjoy it the whole night
I was talking about this to one of the guides, telling her how torn I was because I didn't want to leave the suite, but wanted to enjoy MNSSHP. She told me that some people do just as you suggest and stay in all night. However, I think they are missing out because part of the experience of staying in the castle is the VIP tour that comes along with it. Not just front of the line access, but special viewing areas for the parade and fireworks and all the trivia, history and fun facts they give you as you walk along. I was told that you can buy this tour for $300+ an hour, minimum of 6 hours. :scared: I would never pay that, but the tour part was top notch!
I think we found a good balance with our time in and out of the suite. Although it went by so fast!

I entered this contest. I am so glad you decided to write a report. What a wonderful trip, looking forward to reading more.

Thank you for reading along. More coming soon...:goodvibes

All too soon, Katie came up to get us for Alexa’s apt. (don’t worry, I’ll take more pictures later of this awesome room) We were not allowed to use the elevator or leave the suite ourselves. We just needed to call and they would escort us if we wanted to leave. This is because there are areas of the Castle that aren't so magical and they don’t want us to see them. They always had to get the all clear before we could go into certain areas.

The boys decided to hang out in the suite while I took Alexa to the BBB for some girl time. Carson was dying to get in the big Jacuzzi tub. :rotfl: Even though you can only see him from the chest up, I didn’t think it would be appropriate to put pictures of the kids in the tub on the internet. But while we were at the BBB, DH sent me a picture of him drinking a Coke lounging in the tub. It’s hilarious how he was living it up! Oh the life of a little Prince. :groom:

Just a quick elevator ride down and we arrived at the BBB! How convenient! It was fun to see people’s reactions as we walked out of the castle suite door, doing a double take wondering who we were. It was so packed and I was worried we might be in for a long wait. Her appointment was at prime time…4:20pm, right when people were allowed in for the Halloween Party. But our new friend Katie took us to the counter, told the hostess we were the Royal Family and checked us in. We didn’t have to wait long. Katie gave us our party bracelets and her cell phone number and told me to call her when we were done.
We were so excited for this experience! Alexa loves to do girly stuff like this and I love seeing her so happy. Here’s a picture of her first time at the BBB. She had just turned 3, she’s grown up so much since then.

Our last trip we skipped the BBB and I talked her into doing the Mermaid makeover at the Pirate League since Carson was doing the Pirate experience. This was so fun for both kids to do together…but Alexa said she missed the BBB.

Anyway, back to the report……Here are a few pictures of Alexa in the waiting area. BBB is small, but very pretty. I felt the theme and decor down here closely echoed the suite upstairs.

After about 5 minutes, we were led back to meet Alexa’s Fairy Godmother in Training. Her Fairy Godmother was super sweet. It was funny because she asked DD if she was having a fun vacation. Alexa said she was and then said “I get to sleep in the castle tonight”. The Godmother gave a half hearted “Wow” as she winked at me. I think she thought Alexa was “using her imagination.” I’m sure she sees a lot of little girls everyday in their own princess lala land that she is used to them saying stuff like that. I just had to chuckle to myself because this time it was true. She let Alexa pick her hairstyle. She picked the basic princess bun because it looked the most like Tinkerbell. :tinker:

Time for Hair…..

And nails.....

And make-up......

Good thing I got a picture of these little Tinker Toes, because they hurt her feet and didn't stay on long.

Continued in next post.....

Almost done.....

Smoochy face!

Time for the big reveal!:wizard:

I even made it into a picture.

Alexa’s fairy godmother was very nice and even sprinkled me with pixie dust and gave me a face gem. This made Alexa giggle. She loved that I had a face gem like her and I wasn't allowed to take it off all night.
We paid our bill, tipped our wonderful fairy godmother (this experience was not included in our prize) and headed over to get Alexa some pictures at Castle Culture. As we walked she went on and on about how much she loved it and how beautiful she felt. What a fairy tale for a 5 year old little girl? To check in to her own room high up in a beautiful castle then to be made over into a princess! :cloud9: To this day she will still tell you BBB was one of her favorite parts of the trip. She was the perfect age for this experience!
During her photo shoot I was chatting away with a CM and we somehow got to talking about the Castle Suite. I wasn’t really paying attention while another CM took Alexa’s pictures. They turned out okay, but her smile is a little fake. I think I could have gotten her to lighten up and relax a little if I was paying attention more.

I like these the best out of the bunch.

Once we left the gift shop, Alexa wanted to get a few pictures in front of the fountain. Okay…..now there’s her real smile! At this point Alexa told me “this is the best day ever!” Yes, it was! :hug:I was so glad to have this moment with my beautiful little fairy! I will always treasure this memory!

After this we called Katie and she met us outside the Boutique and escorted us back to the elevator. She hit the elevator to go up to the 3rd floor but it unexpectedly stopped at the 2nd? The door opened up to the kitchen of the CRT restaurant and there stood Jasmine, Ariel, and Aurora chatting with each other waiting to get on the elevator. Not sure if they were going to take a break or what? Anyway, they seemed very surprised to see us in the elevator and Katie seemed embarrassed it happened, but the princesses switched right up into character and said hello to Alexa and told her how beautiful she looked. This made her day!!! :lovestruc I wish I would have had my camera ready. I’m actually still kicking myself for not asking them to wait a minute for a picture, but I was in the moment and enjoyed seeing my little girl’s face light up. Katie closed the door and apologized because that was something we were not supposed to see, but we thought it was a cool experience. Now that we are home if Alexa is asked if she had fun staying in the castle, she always brings this up this story.

Coming up next we hang out in the suite for a little while before MNSSHP!

Your DD is soooooo cute!! On our 1st visit with the kids my DD was 5. BBB didn't exist yet, and I would have loved to have that experience with her. We did eat in the castle, which was magical.pixiedust:

Now at 12, those days are over. Enjoy! Soon it will be, "can we ride Space Mountain one more time?"

I'm glad that the moment with the princesses turned out so special. What a very lucky look into behind the scenes. I'm glad the princesses were able to clue in quickly and give her such a memorable experience. It could have easily gone a different way.

Your poor VIP CM! She must have been panicking when that door opened. I'm slightly surprised that they don't have an express button on the elevator to avoid that.

What a sweet tinker bell she makes! I'm glad that the Princesses took the situation in stride when you unexpectedly ran into them! Sounds like it didn't ruin the magic at all, and might even have added to it.

I'd never considered that if you stay in the castle suite you'd have to be escorted, but I suppose it makes sense!

I love it! Fantastic moment in the elevator, it's always the ones that aren't supposed to happen that turn out to be the best. :wizard:

It's really cool to get some insight into what it's like to get to stay in the castle suite, all the little things you don't think about, like not being allowed to leave the room alone and clearing hallways and elevators. :)

Oh wow. Alexa's BBB experience is so amazing and she looks so beautiful!!! I love that you were able to take the elevator right down into BBB and then back up again to your home for the night. :)

I bet everyone was a little shocked when that elevator door opened. Awesome that you got to see the princesses just standing there having a little chat. Glad they were able to keep in character and make it just that much more special for her.

How cute that Carson was lounging in the jacuzzi with a coke. Just soaking up the atmosphere of being royalty.

I know what you mean about staying in the suite trying to soak in every moment of the time you were there but it seems so much better to take advantage of the VIP experience that goes along with it.

Another great update. :)

Getting caught up Kristy and your story still just amazes me and makes me smile so big! What a wonderful experience that I don't think anyone else here on the Boards has had. I'm so glad that you are sharing all of your experiences and photos. Thank you!

You little Alexa was adorable as a princess/Tink! She'll remember this the rest of her life. How special. :goodvibes

I was really enjoying your wonderful trip report, but the photos aren't working anymore.
I got up to page 9 before they quit, anyone else having the same problem?
