Boo To You and The Castle Suite Too! – A September 2013 TR

Thank you to everyone who has been following along. I'm not sure what's going on with my photos? Working with photobucket to see what's going on. Hopefully they will be back up soon.

I loved the pictures of the suite and BBB!

As for the picture issue, if it helps, I mostly use the iPad app and I can see all of the pictures posted so far.

Great updates!!! I actually really enjoyed your castle suite pictures. I have only seen the professional pictures. Your pictures make it seem more real and you focus in on details the Disney pictures do not.

Your DD is soooooo cute!! On our 1st visit with the kids my DD was 5. BBB didn't exist yet, and I would have loved to have that experience with her. We did eat in the castle, which was magical.pixiedust:

Now at 12, those days are over. Enjoy! Soon it will be, "can we ride Space Mountain one more time?"
Thank you! That is nice you were able to have a magical time with your daughter at the castle when she was younger. I know Alexa's princess days won't last forever, that's why I'm so glad we got to experience this together.

I'm glad that the moment with the princesses turned out so special. What a very lucky look into behind the scenes. I'm glad the princesses were able to clue in quickly and give her such a memorable experience. It could have easily gone a different way.

Your poor VIP CM! She must have been panicking when that door opened. I'm slightly surprised that they don't have an express button on the elevator to avoid that.
Yes, I'm so glad we ran into the Princesses. I loved the behind the scenes stuff! I had seen a youtube video before we left on the castle suite and I remember it saying something about how the elevator has a guest mode and a CM mode so it doesn't go to the wrong floor. I never paid attention to this during our stay. Maybe Katie forgot or they no longer use it? Either way it was cool.

What a sweet tinker bell she makes! I'm glad that the Princesses took the situation in stride when you unexpectedly ran into them! Sounds like it didn't ruin the magic at all, and might even have added to it.

I'd never considered that if you stay in the castle suite you'd have to be escorted, but I suppose it makes sense!
Thank you! Running into the Princesses did bring extra magic to both of us. I still remember the look on their faces like they were caught with their hands in a cookie jar. They were so surprised but so sweet.

I love it! Fantastic moment in the elevator, it's always the ones that aren't supposed to happen that turn out to be the best. :wizard:

It's really cool to get some insight into what it's like to get to stay in the castle suite, all the little things you don't think about, like not being allowed to leave the room alone and clearing hallways and elevators. :)
Yes, it was an awesome moment! If only I would have taken a picture! Still kicking myself!!!:headache:

Great update! Very cute pics! :goodvibes
Thanks!:)

Oh wow. Alexa's BBB experience is so amazing and she looks so beautiful!!! I love that you were able to take the elevator right down into BBB and then back up again to your home for the night. :)

I bet everyone was a little shocked when that elevator door opened. Awesome that you got to see the princesses just standing there having a little chat. Glad they were able to keep in character and make it just that much more special for her.

How cute that Carson was lounging in the jacuzzi with a coke. Just soaking up the atmosphere of being royalty.

I know what you mean about staying in the suite trying to soak in every moment of the time you were there but it seems so much better to take advantage of the VIP experience that goes along with it.

Another great update. :)
Yes, Alexa had a great time at the BBB. Like I said we tried the Pirate League last time and it was very fun. But she missed the BBB and I did too. Something about being in the castle for BBB is just so awesome and to just take the elevator from our room was fantastic. She was on :cloud9:.
Carson is such a ham. He doesn't get soda too often, so he was loving the good life. The picture is hilarious of him.
It was very hard to balance our time between the suite and the VIP experience. It's just like anything at Disney...you leave one awesome experience to go to another and you can never do it all!

Your little tink is so sweet, glad she had such a grand day!!
Thank you, she had such a good time.

Getting caught up Kristy and your story still just amazes me and makes me smile so big! What a wonderful experience that I don't think anyone else here on the Boards has had. I'm so glad that you are sharing all of your experiences and photos. Thank you!

You little Alexa was adorable as a princess/Tink! She'll remember this the rest of her life. How special. :goodvibes
It was such a wonderful time and an experience we feel so lucky to have had! I'm so glad you are reading along!
Thanks for your sweet comments about Alexa. She will remember this forever and I'm glad I got to experience it with her. :lovestruc I get sad that she is growing up so fast, but then I see reports like the one with you and your daughter and I know I have a lot to look forward too.

I'm having the same problem. :confused3

I was really enjoying your wonderful trip report, but the photos aren't working anymore.
I got up to page 9 before they quit, anyone else having the same problem?

I'm still having issues with photobucket. It had to do with needing to upgrade my account and when I did something happened to the links for my pictures. :sad2: So frustrating! I'm working to update the links but it might take me some time. Right now the beginning and ending pictures are restored, but still missing some of the middle.

I loved the pictures of the suite and BBB!

Thank you, I'm glad you are enjoying my pictures so far.
The pictures are showing up for my most recent posts which is why you could see them, but I lost some picture links at the beginning of the report up to when we left the Yacht Club for the Magic Kingdom.:( I'm not real happy with photobucket at the moment.

Great updates!!! I actually really enjoyed your castle suite pictures. I have only seen the professional pictures. Your pictures make it seem more real and you focus in on details the Disney pictures do not.

Thank you! I'm not the best photographer, but good enough for family memories. :thumbsup2

When I last left off Alexa and I had just finished some fun girl time at the BBB and we had a magical moment in the Castle elevator....

At this point it was about 5:00 p.m. Because we’d only been up in the suite for about 15 minutes before the BBB, I wanted a little more time to check it out. I told Katie to give us another ½ hour in the suite, then we’d be ready to go out and enjoy the Halloween Party. We arrived to find the boys relaxing and watching sports on the magical portrait of Cinderella that turned into a TV. :happytv:

Alexa was high on pixie dust and dancing all around the room and wanting to pose for pictures everywhere. She had to tell Daddy all about her magical experience at the boutique and meeting the Princesses in the elevator.

These are a little blurry because she was in constant motion.

Carson also decided to put on his costume and join in the fun…he was Peter Pan! We had a hard time figuring out a costume for him. We had done the Pirate League in February and while he really enjoyed the experience, afterwards he was hot with the bandanna and the make-up was itchy. This was even with nice cooler February weather, so that wasn't going to be an option in September. So I knew he needed a comfortable costume that wasn't hot and one that he was able to get on a bunch of rides with. It seemed everything he wanted to be had a mask or a big cape, etc. After going through a whole bunch of ideas he decided just to get a Halloween themed t-shirt. I knew that he might feel a little left out once he saw everyone dressed up, so when I saw this costume at the Disney Store a couple weeks before our trip, I bought it. I was light weight and comfortable and went perfectly with Tinkerbell. At first he wasn't sure it was “cool” enough and he was getting too old for Peter Pan. For some reason everything changed once we got to Disney. He had a blast in this costume all night! He was totally into character swinging around his sword.:thumbsup2

I somehow managed to peel myself away from the Peter Pan reenactment to take a few pictures of sitting room windows. The windows told the story of Cinderella. The side windows have the chateau where she grew up, the invitation to the ball, and the magic ending at midnight.

Here is the view out the side windows....

The back windows have the glass slipper left behind, the mice helping Cinderella escape her room and happily ever after with her Prince in the Castle. There was a cool telescope in the rectangular box under the window and some really neat fairy tale books.

And the view out the back windows...

I know you may be tired of seeing pictures of my kids dancing around the Suite, but here are a few more that show the Suite from another angle.

Carson says “Off to Neverland.”

Continued in next post......

At this point Katie called and said she was on her way up to get us, so we moved out into the lobby to wait and explore the details out there.

At some point we were told that the pumpkins were a gift from the Fairy Godmother to Cinderella so she will never forget her humble beginnings.

The ceiling had different scenes from the movie.

Makes you kind of feel like singing the song.....So this is love...

Even the door to the elevator (behind Carson) was fancy..

You can never get enough pictures of the beautiful floor.

Soon we were on our way out to enjoy our first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! When we opened the door to the Castle breezeway, it was all blocked off again. This backdrop was up inside the breezeway. Maybe they use it for the Villain's Show? Not sure, but Katie said it was fine to take a picture in front of it.

Katie asked us what our priorities were for the night. I told her we had Fastpass+ planned for the next day in the new Fantasyland, so we could skip that area for the night. We told her that we wanted to meet Tinkerbell and Peter Pan. We wanted to ride Peter Pan, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the Haunted Mansion. We wanted to see the Halloween Parade, Hallowishes and possibly the Villain's show. We also hoped to meet the 7 Dwarfs. Katie said she would see what she could do. So off we went for our first stop….to meet the Fairies.

Coming up Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.:dance3:

Wow! That is so funny the FGMIT thought DD was making up the castle for the night! You could really tell she loved the BBB exprience I am sure these are memories you will not soon forget!

I'm not sure I could tear myself away from the suite for the Party but it is so much fun!

Those suite pictures... I can't even.... WOW..

I hope to someday have a princess to bring to WDW. I have two boys so I don't get to do the girly, princess, makeup stuff... How special it must be!

Working at the BBB has to be the best job ever. :)

WOW!!! Is there another word to describe it all!!!

WOW pretty much sums it up. There really are no words to describe how amazing this space is!

Wow! That is so funny the FGMIT thought DD was making up the castle for the night! You could really tell she loved the BBB exprience I am sure these are memories you will not soon forget!

I know I had to laugh about the FGMIT. She was sweet about it, but you could tell she thought Alexa was using her imagination. I can only imagine what kinds of things little girls tell her as she is doing their hair. :lmao: She really did love this experience and I'm so glad I got to share it with her!

I'm not sure I could tear myself away from the suite for the Party but it is so much fun!

It was so hard to leave the suite! The party was so fun, but every time I caught a glimpse of the castle it kept beckoning me to come back. :goodvibes

Thank you! The kids were so into the moment being up in the castle playing Peter Pan. A real life fairy tale. I got some good video of it.

I can't even imagine how fun it would be to hang out in the castle with a bunch of girlfriends who are all huge Disney fans. I loved reading your report on this. Too fun!

So much fun!! Enjoying your report. Halloween and the MNSSHP are my favorite times at Disney! Can't wait to read all about it. And congrats on winning the stay in the castle and your vacation. How awesome!

Thank you! We loved this time of year at Disney. MNSSHP was awesome and we loved the September crowds! I hope we can visit again during this time.

Alexa and I have a blast together doing all the girly things! This weekend we are taking a trip to the American Girl Store and I can't wait!

Disney does such a good job with all the stuff for boys as well. pirate: I also love experiencing this with Carson.

really enjoyed your trip report. Photos were great and you look like you really had a great Disney stay!

Thank you!

Awesome pics! I can't wait to see what the human fast pass can manage nowpixiedust:
:rotfl2: Our human fast pass was so wonderful! We will forever be spoiled by this trip! Luckily Disney is so awesome that it can still be magical without VIP guides and the castle suite. But it sure was nice!:worship:

This is AWESOME! Thank you for sharing it with us.
Thank you so much!

Thank you for your sweet comments on Alexa. We love the BBB! The details inside the suite are really what makes it so awesome! I would have loved to have tried on that crown! Then again with 2 kids....it's a good thing that it was behind glass. We wouldn't want to be known as the family who broke Cinderella's only remaining glass slipper!:scared:
