LOL! You are an enabler!!! I haven't checked if there is a room available at SSR because we are completely point broke now! I'm not sure what the OFP expense for one night at SSR would be but I'm sure DH would freak! I'm a little aprehensive to change resorts with 3 little ones. But, changing resorts would also give DD and DS the opportunity to stay at all the resorts they say "I want to stay there!" about! LOL!

I didn't make $1200 but I did pretty well and got rid of A LOT of stuff from our basement!! Cleaning out the basement was what I wanted to achieve!! Now DH has no excuse to not finish finishing it off for a playroom for the kids

Hi everyone!! I wanted to update today but I'm pressed for time. My kiddos finally start school tomorrow! Sept 10th is soooo late! I'm going to miss them terribly but I'll enjoy a little peace and quiet with just the little one home between 8:30 and 3:30!

So, just a quick update because today is a day worth celebrating!!

DVC- I so want to take the leap. So tempted. I wonder how many times you can go on the tour and collect the free gift card. They are bound to hook me one of these times!

I love it that you are going to DTD. I think that this is really one of the advantages of DVC: You already are committed to coming back - so it is easier to miss things because you know that you can do them on your next trip. And you even have the next trip planned already!

I can't wait for halloween! I love halloween and halloween at WDW is just the most fun ever!!!

My kiddos are too funny about this trip! It's really helping me get ideas for our January suprise trip! I know what they want to do and don't want to do! L

I promise to tell DD to wait her turn for Prince Charming!! Believe me, DH will too they grow up way to fast and I can't even fathom her going on her first date, let alone getting married

OMG! Your too funny about the DVC fastpass!! The funny thing is that our guide told us he would refill ours if we came to see him on our next trip because we toured in afternoon of our last full day. We used it for 3 out of the 4 rides it gives you and I got rid of them. Now I kinda regret getting rid of them see how we're staying at SSR and going to the DVC center would be super easy! Oh well!

You should definitely re-explore DVC!!! I'm still so excited to be official DVC owners and still shocked that we actually did it!!

OMG!! I know I said the other day there was an update coming!! I’m so sorry it took so long!! Things have been a little crazy with the kiddos going back to school on Thursday and DH going away on business Friday and Saturday!

I actually have quite a bit to report!

First off, I am soooo excited that the rumors that I talked about in a previous update about the Fantasyland expansion turned out to be true!! Truly, the Disney Geek in me is completely freaking out about this!!! It looks absolutely awesome!! Doubling the size of Fantasyland?! WOW!! If you haven’t already heard, it was announced yesterday at the D23 Expo! I just watched the youtube video of the announcement that LL linked in her PTR!! WOWWOWOWOWOW!

Anyway, now that I’m done freaking out (ok, not really) I’ll get on with the PTR!!

You all remember that a few updates ago I reported adding a reservation for 1900 Park Fare for Friday Oct 30th. Well DD, who didn’t have any desire to go to Bippidi Boppidi Boutique to get ready for MNSSHP, decided that she’d like to go to BBB before 1900 Park Fare.

Okey dokey kiddo! I called the 407-WDW-STYLE line and spoke to a very nice lady who was actually originally from a town 3 towns away from me! She was able to get me exactly the appointment I wanted! 2 pm in the castle! Hair, makeup and nails! Yipppeee!!

All set, right? Errrr, not so much!

Well, Friday was supposed to be our DHS day and we were supposed to have lunch at Sci Fi dine in at 12:30! Darn it! There is no way is the magical world of Disney we could have lunch at 12:30 at DHS and I could have DD to MK by 2. Not gonna happen!!

What to do?!

With all of our activities for that day centered in the MK area of the park it only made sense to make that day a MK day. So, a call to dining and SciFi was cancelled!

But now I got to thinking about how we had no DHS in our schedule now! DHS used to be my least favorite of the parks, we used to be able to do it ½ a day. Now, we’ve grown to love quite a few of the attractions there and it takes us more time. We could do DHS before we left on Monday but we’ve always said goodbye to WDW in MK and I don’t think it would feel right to end in another park.

I figured a quick, rope drop trip to DHS Monday morning and then a run to MK might be doable if I change to the later flight. But that still didn’t give us all that much time. Hmmmm, the dilemmas!! It left me thinking about what to do….

Of course, once my Disney mind starts going it’s very hard to stop. I swear it’s like a whirlwind of Disney swirling in my head! I got to thinking about lunch and breakfast options for our now MK Friday! Hmm, onto Disneyworld.com/dining I went!

A few minutes I had secured 10:55 am breakfast reservation at Chef Mickey’s for Friday!!! Score!! Who’s better than me?!?!?! Who would have thought I’d actually get Chef Mickey’s after I couldn’t when the change for Halloween a little while ago?! Yippeee!

As my mind was swirling with MK and Chef Mickey it occurred to me that I still needed to purchase our AP’s!!

I could do it upon arrival our first day but I know my DH and I figured it’s better to spread these things out then give him sticker shock all at once. We have to pay the total amount for our dining plan when we checkin, I don’t want to push my DH who is being surprisingly agreeable to this trip. So I mentioned to AP’s to him casually and he said to go ahead and order them!!

With our AP’s purchased, paid for and hopefully on their way to my happy hands my mind was left to wonder…

Monday’s going to be a busy, rather overwhelming day even if I re-book to the later flight home. I know that WDW has great AP holder, rooms only rates sometimes!

Hmmm, onto mousesaver I went and checked out the AP holder discounts! They looked good! Very, very good!!

I approached DH about adding a night with the preface that I had made more than enough money at my yard sale to cover an extra night, even if we choose to stay at a deluxe resort that night. Airfare for Tuesday was the same we were paying for the flight we already have on Monday, not the $150 more we’d pay to change to a later flight on Monday.

He was all for it!!!

He never ceases to amaze and shock me!

Next up was a phone call to central reservations!! A few minutes later I had secured a woods view room at WL for the night of 11/2 with a great AP rate!!

Then it was onto Southwest’s website to change our flight home from 11/2 to 11/3! The flight I booked home is at 10:30 am. I’m figuring a quick breakfast at from Roaring Forks out by the pool before our ME pick up. But don’t ya know, my mind is going again!?! LOL!! It’s going “you should really change to a later flight on the 3rd and get a little bit if extra time Disney time in…” UGH! I’m still contemplating that one

OMG!! My head still spinning I was onto the dining website again and left with a 1:40 pm lunch adr at SciFi on 11/2!

So the 2nd is now going to be a DHS day! We’ll leave after lunch, check into WL, and then head to MK for the evening! Dinner will most likely be a hot dog from Casey’s and we’ll stay as long as we can since it’s evening EMH’s and we’ll be able to stay until midnight if we want!!

Phew!! Craziness!! I swear if I make 1 more change to this trip my head is going to explode! Really, at this point I’m just afraid that I forgot something or left something out somewhere and I’ll pay for it later! But, I been over my info in my handy dandy planning book about 4000 times, I have all my reservations #, the paper copy of out SSR reservation, our MNSSHP tickets, the receipt for our AP’s, a print out of our WL reservation, printouts of our airline reservations.

The only things I can think of that I have to do is call and change our ME pick up, but if I do decide to change the flight on the 3rd then it’s good I didn’t call yet! I also have to change our Owner’s Locker pickup!

Yes, I signed up for Owner’s Locker the other day! Yippeee! This service looks phenomenal! I’ve read soooo many great things about them and I really think it will save us time, money and energy in the long run! Plus, I got an awesome discount on the service through Mousesavers!! The one time membership fee is $99 (You pay for the deliver/pickup) but through Mousesavers I got it for $25!! Yippeee for that!!!

I’m collecting stuff to go into the locker! I have full sized shampoos, conditioners, sunscreen, other toiletries, an air mattress, a Brita water filter, a beach ball and tube, laundry needs, sugar packets and coffee filters, first aid needs, etc. Imagine not having to pack all the toiletries!?! Not having to raid the travel sized aisle at Target?! LOL!! Works for me!!!

So, now that I’ve rambled for an hour and a half I’m going to free you guys from the torture for now I’ll be back soon! It occurred to me earlier that in all the excitement over our Halloween trip I’ve forgotten to think about our ADR’s for our January trip!! I get to make those in about a month!!! ​

You remind me of me so much it's scary, I started out with an 8 night trip, then added 1 more night to enjoy the Food & Wine Festival, then I got an offer from Universal for a 2 night deal with park tickets so I added 2 more nights and finally DD said that she really wanted to eat at Teppan Edo & doing my Disney math it was only a little more to add 1 more night....so now we're going for 13 nights at this rate I might as well live there.

LOL! Thanks!! It's funny, but planning for our trip last January went the same way for a while. First my sister and her family had to back out, I changed everything all around because of that, then the 4 and 3 deal came out and that required all sorts of changes etc, then DH decided we needed to stay an extra night so he would be assured not to miss a football game and on and on! But in the end we ended up with a wonderful, magical trip so it was all worth it!!

13 nights sounds wonderful, that disney math comes in handy doesn't it?

Actually things seem to switch back and forth between frenzied madness and controlled chaos quite frequently around here

Relaxing is not something I do easily or well That's one of the reasons I enjoy a WDW vacation so much. I'm not capable of doing nothing for any amount of time. WDW is a doing things vacation, but it's still a vacation!!
