Boo to you & AKV too!! **11/18**52 days to go, freaking out, a bag & next year!**

Love the Halloween costumes!! You guys are gonna all look adorable together, especially little Gus-Gus :goodvibes Sorry you couldn't find fabric at Walmart. That one in Riverhead is just gross I hate going there too so we usually go to the one in Middle Island if we have to go. I know its a little out of the way for you too, as is Joann's! Oh well, the kids will love it in there with all the different fabrics and there's a reeeeeally great place to eat in that shopping center called Sonoma Grill.

Congrats on the plane tickets! I'm starting to get really worried about our flights down there for our trip. We're leaving the Sunday after Thanksgiving and tickets are ridiculously expensive! For some stupid reason, I didn't expect that :headache:

Anyway, I'm Melissa and I'm 33. Most of the time I feel 18 sometimes I feel 105!

DH is John, 34. He's a civil engineer who owns his business with FIL! He works very hard so I don't have to work outside the home and so we can live the life we do!

I do the whole feeling young and then feeling old thing, too! Most of the time I think I stopped in my late teens or possible early twenties, but some nights I feel about eighty. With the knee being so much trouble, I know I've been walking like a ninety-five year old for a while!

You are very blessed to be able to stay at home. That would be my wish for all mothers who wanted to do that. :thumbsup2

You and Jill would get along well. She loves to do the scrapbooking!

i know, i've become one of those lurkers who's reading like 10 TRs and PTRs but not commenting on anything... but i promise i'm still here! :goodvibes congrats on the weight loss, too

I'm guilty of that, too. I get on the DIS and lose track of time. I tell myself I can't get on any more reports until someone finishes the one I'm already on, but that doesn't always happen.

Awww, I'm sure the bum knee makes you feel terrible sometimes! I can't imagine how much it hurts :scared1: just looking at my sisters knee after she tore her meniscus was painful! UGH!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE being a SAHM, most of the time ;) I love being able to be here and not have to worry about whose watchging them, what their doing etc

I love to scrapbook paper and digital!! It's kind of a creative outlet for me! One of these days I'm going to get over to the scrapping area on the board and join the challenges they have and such! But with crazy 2 year old DS I try to limit my time doing it.

See I don't lurk really, I read, subscribe and post on like 10 different PTRs/TRs but I loss track sometimes and I drive myself nuts!!!

Stay tuned everyone!! Update coming soon! Yesterday was our DVC event!!!

Another update!!! Yipppee!!!

Where to start?! Again, lots to report and I hope it’s not a jumbled, confusing mess when I’m done!

I guess I’ll go chronologically. Which means you have a wait a little bit for the report on the DVC event ;) sorry!

Friday the kids and I were talking one of our usual “we’re going to WDW!” talks.

Those talks are usually all about how excited we are, what we want to do and hold the kiddos one thousand and one “mommy, can we…” questions. I’m not sure how we even got to where this is going but DD decided she was sad that we wouldn’t be going to Chef Mickey’s this trip. :confused3

UGH! She was ok with the change of plans the other day when I cancelled Chef Mickey’s and made the reservation for Donald’s Breakfast! Then the conversation turned to Wishes and how we would not be seeing Wishes this trip, just HalloWishes. DD and DS6 were sad about this as well. :confused3

OK, like I said in my last update, I’m flexible! I can change the plan! First to decide about Wishes! Well, there was one small problem with that. There is 1 Wishes performance in our 4 night stay! The 29th, 31st and 1st is all MNSSHP! So, that leaves us with the 30th!

But, on the 30th we had a 5:05 reservation at Sci Fi Dine in and were planning on seeing Fantasmic. I asked the kiddos what they wanted to do. The talked about it, which was really quite cute and funny, and decided we should skip Fantasmic and see Wishes!

WOW! That wasn’t the decision I thought they would make  DS6 and I have never seen Fantasmic! We missed it in March 08 because he was sick and we skipped it in Jan! I thought for sure he would be insistent on Fantasmic! But he was pretty easy to convince about Wishes!

So, what to do with the plan?! I didn’t really see a way to do the 5:05 reservation at Sci Fi and then head over to MK for Wishes. It seemed too much.

Then I had a brilliant thought !!!

Can you say Wishes Dessert Party?!

I know I can!! I showed the kiddos pictures of it on Dis and we were sold! I was pretty much sold with the picture of the chocolate covered strawberries ;) MY FAVORITE!!!

Soon I found myself on the phone with Disney Dining! I made a new reservation for SciFi, this time a lunch reservation for 12:30 on the 30th, made the reservation for the Dessert Party and cancelled the 5:05 dinner at SciFi! Phew!!!

I also tried with all my might to make a reservation for Chef Mickey’s. But they only reservation I could get for a party of 5 the whole time we are there was a 7:05 am breakfast reservation one morning. Ummm, no! Not gonna happen! I'm flexible, just not that flexible!

DD was ok with it, for the most part.

After I got off the phone with dining I started to think about dinner on the 30th and wondered if I could get any other reservations near MK to kinda make up for no Chef Mickey’s.

I got on Disneyworld.com/dining and started playing around!

Then it appeared in front of me with a little bit of pixie dust and a wave of a magic wand!! 1900 Park Fare!!

I asked DD what she thought and told her that I thought the characters were Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drezella.

She actually squealed with delight and happiness and said “Mommy! I've never met Prince Charming!”

In that instance I saw my long gone 4 year old princess returned! My eyes actually welled up with tears! I had a flood of wonderful, beautiful memories of little princess who would wear nothing but dresses and twirl around the house as if the Fairy Godmother herself had said “Bippidi Boppidi Boo” and turned her into a princess!

1900 Park Fare here we come! I love to see my 8 year old tweenish girl remember that she is, no matter what, our princess!

So the plan has changed again!

Our Oct 30th looks like this now….

*Rope drop DHS! TSM!!
*12:30 lunch at SciFi
*Back to SSR for rest/swimming! I’m insistent on this, although I’m not sure if there will be much time between getting back to SSR after lunch and having to leave for MK to get to GF!
*4:55 pm Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare
*8 pm Wishes Dessert Party!

Sounds like a great Disney day to me!!

up next, DVC event!!!!

Saturday was a big day for us! Not just because of the DVC event!

Saturday marked the 2 month mark for our October trip! The kiddos were super excited to be able to say they’re going to WDW in 2 months!

It was also the first time since March I have been able to wear a necklace! Strange, right?! Well, those who have been following along with me for awhile know I had my thyroid removed the end of May. Before the surgery my neck was so big from my thyroid being enlarged I couldn't wear a necklace. I used to wear a necklace everyday! After the surgery I couldn't wear one for obvious reasons and since then everytime I put one on it felt weird!

Saturday I was able to wear one of my Mickey necklaces!! Yipppeee!!!

Anyway, on with the good stuff ;)

Saturday was our DVC event!!!

We were a little worried about being able to go at all with what was left of Hurricane Danny passing by here! The weather had been calling for pouring rain and 40 MPH winds all day! Not the kind of day you want to drive for an hour and 20 minutes to go somewhere!

We had been checking the weather often and decided to make our decision Saturday morning based on the reports then!

I got up 6, checked the weather and it didn’t look bad, took a shower and then checked the weather again, still didn’t look bad! I got DH and the kids up at 7. Once DH had surfaced he checked the weather and we decided there was no reason not to go! It was going to rain, but more out by our house then up toward the western end of Long Island where we were headed. The wind forecast has gone down to practically nothing!

Yippeee!! DVC event here we come!!

We left home a little after 8, got bagels for breakfast, put gas in the car and were on our way!

The event started at 10 but the info I got said to arrive 25 minutes early to register.

We got the hotel that the event was being held at, The Garden City Hotel, about 9:40!

We made our way inside and were greeted by all sorts of CM’s with Mickey hand signs on a stick directing us were to go and saying “Welcome Home!” :cloud9: We were directed to the second floor and quickly registered for the event! We each got Doorway to Dreams mouse ears which were very cute!

Then we found the kids club and registered DD and DS6 to have some fun while we went to the presentation for grownups! The kids club was for kiddos 4 and up so DS2 had to come with us, no big deal but we couldn’t take the stroller in the room where the presentation was. I was a little worried about holding him for the length of the presentation.

With the big kiddos happily in the kids club DH, myself, and DS2 headed to the room the presentation was being held in!

Let me say the hotel the event was being held in is a beautiful, high end hotel and the room that the event was in, although small, was so pretty!! It had 3 crystal chandeliers, beautiful gold leaf borders, big mirrors etc! I didn’t take any pictures in the room. Sorry! No one else was and I felt funny whipping out the camera and flashing away.

When we entered the room there was a 3 piece band playing!! They were playing music like you’d hear on Main Street!! It was sooo nice and an instant disney high!

We found seats and were greeted by a bag on each chair containing a very nice leatherish (not actual leather) DVC portfolio with a pad of paper, a pen and a DVC point info in it, there was also a neat little light up key chain in the bag! A CM came over and traded the bag on what would have been DS’s chair for a DVC coloring book with all sorts of Disney pictures in it!! He wasn’t all that interested in coloring in it but he really liked the pictures!

Soon the presentation started!

We were greeted by DV. A women much like a Main Street character with all the enthusiasm and zest that you would expect from a Disney face character! She joked around and got things off to happy Disney start! She then introduced the 2 DVC guides who did the presentation!

Then presentation was based around Doorways. As in the Doorways to Dreams DVC store that will be opening in a mall close to the hotel the event was at next month.

There was a doorway on the small stage that the guides were on with a flatscreen TV behind it and the same doorway and tv to each side of the stage.

The guides talked about various things BLT, AKV, the new DVC resort being built in Hawaii, Carsland that is being built at DCA, the really cool additions being made to Hong Kong Disneyland, Adventures by Disney, Disney Cruise lines etc etc.

All the aspects of the presentation were prompted when the guides closed the doors on the stage and then tried to reopen them to the new aspect. The door seemed to be having a lot of problems that day because the guides could never get them open :confused3 So with each opening of the doors a funny, crazy locksmith guy would come from the back, act silly, joke around and eventually open the door!

The thing about the locksmith was I’d seen him before! I kid you not!! If any of you have the set of 4 theme park DVD’s the locksmith was the doctor/scientist guy who gives you the tour on the Epcot DVD :lmao:

Of course the end of the presentation was all the info to try and get us to buy more points! I must admit the incentives they were offering were really good!!

The add on incentives offered were;

Buy 100 pts - $12/pt credit, which means instead of the points being $112 a point they were $100

125 pts - $13/pt credit PLUS 2 disney Broadway tickets (LK or MP), taking the point cost down to $99 per point

160 pts - $14/pt credit PLUS 4 Disney Broadway tickets (LK or MP), point cost $98 per point

200 pts or more - $16/pt PLUS 4 Disney Broadway tickets (LK or MP), point cost $96 per point

There was also no cap on the discount over 200 points, which from what they said there used to be. So, you could buy as many point as you wanted and still get them at $96 per point!

The other thing that made the incentives sound good is the fact that DVC has just announce that the price of points will be going up! From $112 per point to $120 per point!!! Holy cow :scared1: That’s a HUGE increase!!

They were pushing BLT but you could add on at other resorts as well with slightly different incentives, from what I understood.

I would have loved to jump on the offer but I promised DH we wouldn’t add on yet! But, the price increase of the points has me nervous!

I didn’t pressure DH and actually never even mentioned adding on to him while we were there because I knew he’d have a fit. We’ve talked about it a little since and he seemed a lot more receptive since the price is increasing. The only thing is that those offers were only good at the time of the event! I know there’s always some incentives going on and I could contact our guide at anytime to find out what the current deal through him is.

Like I said that $8 per point increase seems crazy to me and has me nervous about ever adding on! We’ll just have to see what the future holds I guess!

The whole presentation was about an hour long and it went by very quickly! DS2 was an angel and sat nicely with me the whole time!!!

After the presentation was over it was time to get the kiddos from the kids club and head downstairs to have a party!!

I got the kiddos while DH put Ryan in the stroller and we then headed for the elevator! But the elevator was taking forever!! So DH suggested I take the big kids down the stair and he’d met us!

All in all it took him over 5 more minutes for him to get the elevator!!

The party was held in what I can only assume is actually a nightclub! It was very, very nice and very cool! The kiddos thought it was great! There was a DJ, neat lightening including lights dancing on the floor!

The room!

Some of the walls in the club had running water in them to create a kinda waterfall look! Of course, Disney had added their own decorations and it really looked fabulous!

Cool water wall with Mickey's on it! The picture doesn't do it justice! It was really cool looking!

There was food and drinks as well! Lots and lots of fruit, which my kids loved, bagels, croissants, muffins, juice, water, coffee, tea etc. It was really a nice brunch kind of set up but without hot items.

Part of the spread!

Of course, as expected there were characters!!!! The info on the invitation I got said “a Dance Party with Mickey and Minnie!”

Well, the first character we saw when we got into club was Pluto!

This pictures cracks me up because you can really see how much my kids all look alike and how much they look like Daddy!!

Soon after we saw that Mickey was also meeting members in the corner of the room!

Please excuse my lovely look! :lmao: the rain kinda wilted me!!

After our visit with Mickey we noticed Goofy roaming the room and dancing away the afternoon!!

notice how unsure of Goofy DS2 looks!!!

Then one of the kiddos noticed that Mickey had company!!

The event was supposed to be 2 hours long so at about 11:50 we decided to get going and try to get out the parking lot before everyone else.

All in all the event was very well done, very nice and a lot of fun! It was also a great Disney fix and a good way to spend a rainy day! I was very impressed by everything given the fact that the event was free!!

Ok, it's about time for this tired Mommy to hit the hay!! I wanted to post more tonight but it ain't gonna happen! So, I'll be back soon with more ;)

Melissa what an exciting update!!! First of all...I think you guys will love the Wishes Dessert party I know I'm really really looking forward to that myself!!!!

I'm glad the kids are giving input it will make this trip so much more real for them!!!!!!

Love the photos of the DVC event!! The kids looked like they were having a lot of fun!!!!! What a great time, you are right there is no better way to spend a rainy day!

Well I hope you get some rest and have a great evening!

I'm really excited to the dessert party! We did the magical gatherings Illuminations dinner and dessert reception in 08 when we traveled with MIL, FIL, SIL and BIL and it was fabulous! They had such a nice spread set up for dessert in the view area!

I think the kids have been to WDW enough now, this will be their 5th trip, to what they really want to do and what they can skip. DD isn't affraid to speak her mind to me and give her disney expertise about what she thinks she would do! I told her the only thing besides MNSSHP I want to do is go to Ohana!

We had a really good time at the DVC event! It was a lot of fun and a reall good disney fix!!! 13 hours!! I didn't get that much sleep but I did get a really good nights sleep!

I did get some rest!!! DS2 feel asleep at 6 last night and I couldn't get him to wake up again. He was completely pooped! He slept until a little after 7 this morning!!!!

Wow-the DVC event sounds like it was nicely done....(We've been toying with whether or not to bite the DVC bullet or not too...)

I love that your ADRs worked out so nicely for you...Wishes Dessert Party and 1900 Park Fare Dinner-can't wait to hear about both of these-always wanted to do 1900 Park Fare Dinner....:goodvibes

Sounds like you are going to have a great vacation in October. How fun.

Wow! That DVC event looked like a lot of fun, characters too, I'm so jealous. Kids looked like they had a great time.

Thanks! I can't wait for Halloween!!!! I really want to get a picture of DH and I with just Ryan in our Cinderella theme!

I can't stand the Riverhead Walmart!!! I absolutely despise it! It's absolutely disgusting! The people who work there are rude and nasty (nasty in more then one sense of the word) and don't get me started on the other shoppers! UGH! I only ever go there if I'm pretty sure they have something I need that I can't get at Target.

I was so happy to finally get the stupid plane tickets after all the problems with the bank! We used to bank with Washington Mutual (in Riverhead) because DH got free banking through his last job. Then Washington Mutual became Chase. DH isn't a fan of Chase not to mention I hate having to go to Riverhead every single time we need to go the bank. So we're switching o Bridgehampton National! But their "glitches" are annoying me!!

Can you shop around for airfare? I looked to see if Jet Blue from LaGuardia was cheaper then Southwest from McArthur. It was, but like $10 a ticket. It wasn't worth it to switch for us, especially because DH hates LaGuardia!!

That Walmart is seriously disgustinggggg. It takes a lot for me to go there! I agree with you, I prefer Target soooo much more. You should have switched to my bank! Although, the most eastern branch is in Riverhead too so that wouldnt have helped the location problem. I used to bank with Wamu too before I got the job where I am now. I actually have a Chase credit card though and haven't had any problems. I've heard Bridgehampton National is a good bank though too so I hope you like them!

I've totally been shopping around for airfare like crazy. Going insane with it. I didn't even mind driving into JFK or LGA at this point if it was going to save me a substantial amount of $$! I talked to my dad about it though and he suggested flying in Saturday night and getting a cheap hotel near the airport and then heading to Disney Sunday morning. I checked that out and just booked us a flight on SW for $139 getting us to MCO at 9:10pm and then a LaQuinta Inn and Suites room for $45 a night for the first night! Its still saving us over $60 doing it this way! The only problem is we have to make sure Chris could get out of work early Saturday. If not, he's calling in. Even though we hate for him to do it, he's going to have to if they wont let him leave early. My only problem at this point is whether or not ME will pick us up Sunday morning at MCO even though we flew in Saturday night. Do you know if they will? :confused3

Ok now that I've talked about MY problems for 20 mins, I'll get to your update haha  I'm glad you're being so flexible with everything this trip girl, I'm impressed! LOL I think your DD will loveeee 1900 Park Fare. I've heard the steps are a RIOT!!

The DVC member event looked like a lot of fun! So cool that the kids got to meet the characters on a regular rainy day on LI! Oh and you, miss, look great!! The weight loss is obvious! Congratulations to you!

The DVC was super neat! We had a great time! Getting to see the characters outside of a disney park was such a great thing! The kids loved it!

I can't wait for that dessert party! It looks yummy! I think 1900 Park Fare for dinner will be great! I hear Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters really make it a fun time! DD was so excited to hear Prince Charming would be there!

Sounds like you are going to have a great vacation in October. How fun.

Wow! That DVC event looked like a lot of fun, characters too, I'm so jealous. Kids looked like they had a great time.

OCt seems like it's going to be great time! Short, but great!

The DVC event was so much fun! It was a great Disney fix on a rainy, icky day :cloud9:

Riverhead Walmart is like the arm pit of the earth! No joke! Icky :scared: It's so dirty and nasty! I remember being so happy they were putting it in because the only store like that there used to be was kmart. Boy was I wrong!!

What bank do you work for? If your in Riverhead I'll have to stop by and see you!!

I definitely agree with your dad, fly out on Saturday! If it's going to save you money go for it!

It'll give you extra time and you won't be in the craziness that the airport is the Sunday after thanksgiving!!! I hate the airport, I can't imagine what it's like to be in there with 2 million other holiday travelers!!

:lmao: All these change to this trip have my head spinning even more then it already was!! Crazy! But it actually seems to be working out for the best, I hoping to get more resting and relaxing in do to the way things are working out!

We've been enough now that everyone knows what they want to do and where they want to go. We don't, and won't, do commando crazy park
touring!

We had a fabulous time at the DVC event! It was really a great time! The kiddos loved seeing the characters!

Your too kind! I hate those pics of me!!! If I had thought of it I would have had the girl that was taking the picture take on of just the kids!! My hair looks like a boys haircut because it got soaked going from the house to the car and from the humidity, why I spent 20 minutes blowing it dry that morning I don't know! Not to mention I look like I have tree trunks for arms :upsidedow LOL!!! Oh well, life will go on!!

Your kids sure have you hopping with those changes in plans, don't they?! :rotfl: Just when you think you know what they want...they surprise ya!! Your new plans look really great though-it's going to be a magical trip! I love your costume ideas, I can't wait to see them all completed.

The Doorway to Dreams event sounds like a blast! The 3 piece band playing Main Street music....ahhhhhh.....thankfully I'll be hearing that on Thursday!!! ;) :yay:

Brook! I can't even believe you found the time yesterday before you left to come on Dis and reply to my thread!! I just looked at your tweets! Glad you got there safe and sound! Hope your still sound asleep!!

My kiddos truly have been keeping me busy with the changes! :upsidedow It's all good though! I think they way things are working out will be a lot better and a lot more fun without going commando!!

We had a lot of fun at the DVC event and I really loved the band!! Although I must admit, I'm SUPER jealous that you'll be "walking right down the middle of Middle of Main Street USA" at some point today!!

So, guess what!! You'll never believe it!!!

Ok, you all know me so well! Yes, there's been more changes :rolleyes1:rolleyes::upsidedow LOL!!!

Sigh!! The kiddos are HUGE legomanics and were kinda bummed that I didn't really see where a trip to DTD and a visit to the lego store would fit into the plan :confused3

So again, I'm flexible! Whatever works! Just call me Elastawomen!!

On Nov 1st we will not be going to Rose & Crown and then seeing Illuminations. We will in fact be spending part of our day at Epcot, going back to SSR for rest/swimming and then heading over to DTD for dinner and a little shopping!

This works out well because I had 5 TS's and would have had to pay for one OOP. Not a big deal but going to DTD DH and I can finally try Earl of Sandwich and the kiddos can get whatever they want, probably McD's :upsidedow and we'll have 4 TS again.

The kiddos can go to Lego, I can go to TrenD and we can finally go to Goofy's Candy Shop! We've never been to Goofy's Candy Shop!!! I can't wait!!

There maybe more changes in the works because I realized the other day that we are returning from our trip on 11/2 and the kiddos don't have school on the 3rd! I'd love to stay another night but that ain't gonna happen. We'd have to switch hotels and that seems like to much to me. But I'm weighing my options on switching to a later flight home.

It would cost me $125 more for the later flight but the flight is at 6:45 instead of 3:25. Which means Me will pick us up at around 3:45 instead of 12:30.

Is the extra 3 1/2 hours in the parks worth $125, hmmmmmm...

The dilemmas!! I'm thinking it is worth it but haven't decided 100% yet!

In other news my halloween costume arrived yesterday! It fits!!! No problem at all really! But, I'm not at all impressed with the quality of the costume! It's really not good quality! My kiddos LOVED it on me though. I ordered a different on yesterday after I tried on the one I currently have and will decide what to do when I get it and send one back!

DD's Minnie costume also came and it's adorable! She's super happy with it!!

I also took a long journey with the kiddos yesterday and picked up all the fabric I need to make the things I need to make!! So now I just have to get to work!

That's it for now! It will probably be a few days before I get back here! I'm having a yard sale on Saturday  wish me luck! I'm hoping to earn lots and lots of spending $$ ;)

We moms & /or Dis planners are all about the flexibility aren't we...:goodvibes

I think its very flexible of you to rearrange your Rose & Crown/Illuminations evening with a DTD stop...I do have to say that that Lego store is like a mother ship of sorts to a Lego lover...:lmao:, TrendD was really cute, and as for Goofy's-I have three words...DIPPED PRETZEL RODS...:thumbsup2

I think that the later flight is worth it assuming that you plan it and use the time...you can accomplish quite a bit in 3 1/2 hours assuming that you think it through and everyone is on board...

Oww-good luck with your yard sale...:goodvibes we had one over the 4th of July weekend and did well-well I think we did pretty well-I've never done one before...we made $1,200 which I think is good for a yard sale :confused3 so if it is I'll send you some pixie dust for yours...pixiedust:

WOOT for more changes...aren't changes fun!!!! I'm glad you kiddos will be able to visit their beloved legoland YAY!!! You'll be able to finally go to Goofy's (oh you so need to go to Goofy's)!!! and eat at a new restaurant!!

I'm glad you costume fits, sorry it's not the best quality!! I hope you'll have better luck with the next one! Can't wait to see your kiddos in their costumes!!

I also say take the later flight...a lot of great memories can be made in 3 1/2 hours!!

Melissa -

I apologize for being soooooo far behind, but I am all caught up now. Wow - so much had been going on with your Halloween trip.

First - I love your costumes although I am sorry you are not impressed with the quality of your costume. I wanted to order costumes for DH and I for the Halloween party and he said "no", he was not going to wear a costume over a month before Halloween. :confused3 I found a really cute girl pirate costume. Oh welll. I'm not dressing up alone.

Second - nice beach pictures!

third - Nice DVC event pictures. I can't believe you went and resisted the urge to buy. What incredible will power you have.

Fourth - I think you should stay another night. :rotfl: Yes, I am an enabler. Are you absolutely sure you can't get anything at SSR? I guess changing rooms would be a major PITA for one night. As far as the late flight......I always take the later flight for exactly that reason. You get a lot more park time if you don't leave until dinner. ME just picks you up too darn early. I say go for it and get home late. Doesn't matter if the kids don't have school the next day.

Fifth - I promise to do better at keeping up with your updates. :thumbsup2

Riverhead Walmart is like the arm pit of the earth! No joke! Icky :scared: It's so dirty and nasty! I remember being so happy they were putting it in because the only store like that there used to be was kmart. Boy was I wrong!! I will at least say that Walmart is better than Kmart, no matter where its located!! Kmart is just...no words to describe the grossness! LOL

What bank do you work for? If your in Riverhead I'll have to stop by and see you!! I'll PM you the name of my bank! You should come say hi!

We're flying out Saturday night from MacArthur! Only like 20 mins from my house and soooo much more convenient, I'm really happy :) Its going to be a lot better to not have to fight all the holiday travelers.

:lmao: All these change to this trip have my head spinning even more then it already was!! Crazy! But it actually seems to be working out for the best, I hoping to get more resting and relaxing in do to the way things are working out!

We've been enough now that everyone knows what they want to do and where they want to go. We don't, and won't, do commando crazy park
touring! You THOUGHT that you knew what everyone wanted to do until you realized they wanted to go to the lego store LOL

Those pictures are NOT terrible at all!!! Your hair doesnt look like a boy but I do know what you mean about blow drying and straightening and then the second you walk outside, it all goes poof! The perks of living on an island? :headache: And your arms definitely DO NOT look like treetrunkssss you silly, you're far too hard on yourself!

Your new plan for the Epcot day sounds great! Try and get another room and stay the extra night, go for it girl :thumbsup2 Glad your costume fits great too :)

My kiddos LOVE that lego store!! Really legos are the only thing they play with at this point! We have thousands of lego parts! It's crazy! DS6 has already been compiling his list for his birthday (in november) and everything is legos!

I can't wait to see what cute stuff they have at TrenD! I just have to be good and resist the urge to buy it all!

The chocolate dipped pretzels are really what I'm after!! I know I mentioned that chocolate covered strawberries are my favorite thing, well chocolate covered pretzels are my second fav!! Yummy, yummy and more yummy!!!

I'm still undecided about the flight! Really we probably will book the later one but we'll have to see!

$1200!!!! Holy cow!! I think that's great! I would be sooo happy to make that much! I've never actually done my own yard sale before but a few years ago I put some stuff out at MIL's yard sale and made like $350. I thought that was great because I only really had one table of stuff!

This time I have so much stuff!! A lot of old toys and baby stuff, clothes, household stuff etc, etc...

I was hoping to at least double my $350 so we'll see. I figure with the amount of stuff I have and people bargain hunting in a bad economy I should do pretty good!

WOOT for more changes...aren't changes fun!!!! I'm glad you kiddos will be able to visit their beloved legoland YAY!!! You'll be able to finally go to Goofy's (oh you so need to go to Goofy's)!!! and eat at a new restaurant!!

My kids love that lego store! I think our evening in DTD should be fun and relaxing. I'm figuring back to SSR from Epcot around 1ish, Swim until 3:30ish, cleanup, off to DTD by 4ish. Then we should be back at the room by 7 or so and can swim again or even go back to epcot again and not miss illuminations!

I can't wait to finally go to Goofy's I keep saying we're going to go but it never works out well!!

I have high hopes for the new costume! I was not impressed with the one that I have now, like I said! Your can see through it, the closures in the back ae 3 little spots of velcro etc :sad2:

I'm still deciding on the later flight. I am, of course, leaning toward doing it but we'll see ;)

Melissa -

I apologize for being soooooo far behind, but I am all caught up now. Wow - so much had been going on with your Halloween trip. That's ok!!! I totally understand getting behind! I do it all the time!!

First - I love your costumes although I am sorry you are not impressed with the quality of your costume. I wanted to order costumes for DH and I for the Halloween party and he said "no", he was not going to wear a costume over a month before Halloween. :confused3 I found a really cute girl pirate costume. Oh welll. I'm not dressing up alone. i have high hopes for the new costume! I just got an email that it shipped so we'll see in a few days! Once the kiddos go back to school next week I can really start sewing! I just haven't figured out how I'm going to make DS6 cape! I'm thinking a boy bathrobe patter may work!

I'm truly suprised my DH agreed to dress up at all, ever! He kinda tends to be a stick in the mud. But he's ok with dressing up at WDW!

Second - nice beach pictures! Thanks!

third - Nice DVC event pictures. I can't believe you went and resisted the urge to buy. What incredible will power you have.LOL!! Really, I wasn't hard at all to resist. It was a DVC non-pressure thing. They talked about adding on points for maybe 5 minutes of the 60 minute presentation. Then if we were interested we had to put our name down to sit with one of the guides.

Fourth - I think you should stay another night. :rotfl: Yes, I am an enabler. Are you absolutely sure you can't get anything at SSR? I guess changing rooms would be a major PITA for one night. I say go for it and get home late. Doesn't matter if the kids don't have school the next day. LOL! You are an enabler!!! I haven't checked if there is a room available at SSR because we are completely point broke now! :lmao: I'm not sure what the OFP expense for one night at SSR would be but I'm sure DH would freak! I'm a little aprehensive to change resorts with 3 little ones. But, changing resorts would also give DD and DS the opportunity to stay at all the resorts they say "I want to stay there!" about! LOL!

Fifth - I promise to do better at keeping up with your updates. :thumbsup2 Hakuna matata!! ;)

Your new plan for the Epcot day sounds great! Try and get another room and stay the extra night, go for it girl :thumbsup2 Glad your costume fits great too :)

LOL!! Thanks! My hair is really fine. I have a lot of hair but just really fine. So the humidity and dampness make it go limp! ICK!!! I could use a whole bottle of hair spray and it still wouldn't work!!

I'm still thinking over the plan now that I know the kids have off school that day! We'll see ;) ...

I hear ya sister. I have been point broke since my first trip! Some day though..... Some day! :wizard:
