I hit a deer the other day........how awful. I couldn't sleep for 3 days and was very sad about it. We just have so many deer around that I guess it was just a matter of time:( I'm so careful about all the creatures out and about, but this one was "on the run" and ran right in front of my car.

It wasn't your fault msdznyduck, accidents happen, this was out of your control. I know it hurts when you hit and animal (although I never have) did he die or survive? I am sorry you lost sleep . hopefully you are ok now and back on the track.

A deer committed suicide using my car a couple of years ago. It was a terrible feeling knowing that I killed such a beautiful creature, I know how you feel. But it wasn't your fault and couldn't be helped.

I hope you weren't injured and that your car didn't sustain too much damage. {{{HUGS}}} sweetie

That is sad, but I am very glad that you weren't hurt. There have been some very bad accidents do to this happening.

I'm sure it was upsetting but you should be thankful you weren't killed or injured yourself. They move too fast to do much about it. I once saw a "bird" fly by the windshield only to realize it was the tail of the deer bounding from a rock wall across the road.

We hit a deer in Wyoming last year. I was very thankful that none of us were hurt or killed. It could have been a terrible tragedy.

:( {{{{Hugs}}}} I know how you feel. :(

A doe ran into the passenger door of my car while I was driving down the highway one day. It was so sad. It was a brutal accident, but somehow she survived. The police tried to find her, but she jumped OVER the hood of my car and fled into a field. :( Rutting season is a bad, bad time of year for deers and cars. :(
