Boo Bash sold out quickly. Very Merriest hasn't sold out a single date.

I plan to be there with my family (4 of us) in early December and still haven't bought the tickets. I'm sure I'll buy at least one because it's a friend's significant birthday (which is the purpose of the trip - been planning a long time to go on those dates) and I want my son to be able to go with the birthday person to the party if nothing else. However for the cost of the other 3 tickets that's about the cost of a week of park tickets for one of us.

This trip is already expensive. Still waiting to see if they put out any December room discounts plus maybe we will need to buy Genie+ to make the trip livable so ... maybe folks are like me. Kinda wait and see for awhile on how I want to spend my money.

I've never spent this much money to go to WDW as what this trip will cost even before party tickets. I'm looking for ways to cut costs (shorter trip?). It's very frustrating.

I agree since no dates have sold out and my date isn't obviously one that likely would go first, I feel like I I can hold off.

How have the parties compared in the past with being sold out?Just some insight on how this person feels but I get more excited about the Halloween party where I can dress up and get Halloween candy vs the Christmas party. I’ve only been to the Halloween party and for me it seemed like they were more interesting- exclusive special things in vs Christmas party.

Plus I noticed at the Halloween party you see many groups of single younger people. You can assume that everyone’s just paying for them self which is doable. Versus families going in December and that’s pricey if you have to pay for a whole group. I know it’s just me but if I had a party with friends I prefer to do a Halloween party than a Christmas party

Going on November 16 th next week, and I’m shocked it’s already told out! Super excited though, it will be hubbys first time going. So it’s priceless for me 😃

And we are going on November 18th and it's sold out too! Any reports on the sold out crowds for Boo Bash?

Currently there are 6 dates sold out (Nov. 9, 11, 12, 16, and 18, and December 21). The November dates are some of the cheapest offered, and Dec. 21 is the last offering before Christmas Day.

The quote above is from the Boo Bash thread. Unless I'm missing some context for that one (Do not think it was weather-related, though) it appears there is an option for refund, in some form or another.
It was also possible to ‘switch’ nights - I did this, bought 2 Boo tix for 10/12 and then they announced extra dates - I called to switch 1 of my 10/12 for a 10/10 and then buy an extra 10/10 - they ended up having me buy 2 for 10/10 and then issued a refund to my CC (took about 2 was) for the 1 ticket for 10/12…

I'm going on the 14th and it doesn't look like it's sold out yet, so that's good. Even though the cost is super high and something I normally wouldn't pay, my trip is so short, I'm looking at it as more park and ride time with the added bonus of Christmas cheer!

I hope it's the price. At some point people need to put their foot down. I could justify the Boo Bash cost when I bought those tickets but these Merriest prices are insane.

Agreed. We went to Boo Bash and had a blast. The cost for my daughter and I to go to the Merriest after hours is the same as our airfare! Not worth it for us.
