Bonnet Creek vs Sheraton Vistana Resort prices

Hi everyone

I have been looking at the Sheraton and Bonnet Creek. Bonnet Creek costs a fair bit more than the Sheraton and I am trying to figure out why.

I know that BC in on Disney property but that can't be the sole reason for the price increase can it?

How do the rooms compare with each other?

I would imagine it is a large part of it.

I stayed in a refurbished Fountains unit at Vistana in 2/10, and in Bonnet in 7/09. I would say the rooms were comparable; if anything, the Fountains unit was slightly nicer. Slightly better soft goods, etc. But, not a huge difference. The resort amenities--the pools, the mini golf course, etc.---at Bonnet were a little bit better, we thought.

The location is a difference that may matter to many. Technically, Bonnet isn't on WDW/RCID land. But, it feels like it is, because it is landlocked by WDW property and I-4. Our first stay at Old Key West was just a little while after buying Wyndham for access to Bonnet Creek. We noticed that we often drove *past* Bonnet's entrance on the trip between OKW and several other Disney destinations.
