Bonnet Creek trip reports anyone have one??

Thanks for the info on Bonnet Creek, we will be staying there in October.:grouphug: We are Fairfield owners.;)

There are always someone selling weeks/ days/ points to the Wyndham Vacation clubs in Orlando on Ebay for some good deals.

If an owner and book within 90 days perhaps better deals to be had.

Last week in the owner update--they tried to get us to buy some more points for some $11k--same points to same resort on Ebay for a fraction of the price?

Sorry I forget who posted it but....the activities that your children did...is there a charge? Thanks

It wasn't my post but I know that some activities have a fee. Free things include use of pool toys or board games, mini-golf, use of the 4 "library" computers, pool table, table tennis, bingo for candy, dive-in poolside movies, stuff like that. If you sign up for an activity that uses materials, like craft projects, t-shirt painting, bingo (for prizes or cash), kids' night child care, or use the arcade games or join an outing, then there's a fee, and the fees vary. This is how it is at all Wyndham properties.

Just a quick question. Where is the Super Walmart? Is it close to Bonnet Creek? We are planning to buy breakfast and lunch iteams for meals in our room. Thanks for any info!!:)

lele -yes the transportation to the parks is free!!

Princess B- Super Walmart is 10 minutes away....if you dont have transportation, you can take the free shuttle to Buena Vista Outlets and then take a cheap taxi ride across the street and down a bit to walmart. But if you do have a car, if you go out the downtown disney entrance turn right on 535 go thru the lights under the bridge and keep going for 5-10 minutes and walmart is on your right....there is another way but I only know how to come back from walmart that way :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

do they have free internet access in the rooms?

Hi Peeps.
This was an old thread that got dug up. I will be happy to send those pictures out to those who just emailed me.
I am out of town, but will send them when I get home.

I love BC, staying again in January :)
Yes, free internet.

Internet in your villa is free. :thumbsup2 We had a fabulous stay in late June (for 2 weeks). I meant to write a review, really I did, but I haven't...sorry! Bonnet Creek was the best of both worlds for our family of 7. I really enjoyed having accommodations that are so close to the WDW parks. BC is as "on-property" as you can get, for technically being "off". My DH prefers to have a rental car whether we are staying at Disney resort or not, so that was not an issue for us. They do offer free transportation, however. The only downsides to it are that it runs less frequently than Disney buses, and you have to wait out in the sun, on a "cement island" in the parking lot where the other off-site buses pick-up. We kept the BC transportation schedule with us each day "Just in case" we needed it. One day at DHS, my DD felt a little bit ill, so I was able to take her and my other DD back to BC in the rental van, and my DH and DSs came back later via the bus.

The resort is gorgeous. Our villa was in great condition and very clean. Staff was accomodating. I didn't like the location of the first villa we were given, and called the front desk from the villa and was given a new room immediately. We had Garden Grocer deliver our groceries before we arrived and they were promptly brought to the room (and then brought to the 2nd room!) with friendly service. I loved how on-site it felt, being able to see the CBR, Pop and Epcot from the resort. But, the price made this a much more affordable option. We paid $120/night in June for the 2-bed, 2-bath. We went through an owner, and I felt very secure in the transaction.

I have always been one to want to try different resorts each trip, but BC may have changed that. I'm hoping to go back during the Christmas season (late Nov or early Dec) next year and may look into the 3 or 4 bedroom for that trip. I can stay in such deluxe accommodations for the price of 2 rooms at a value.

thanks for your reply about the internet lucky's mom

now we will not have to find a kinko for boarding passes

Instead of starting a new Bonnet Creek thread, I thought I would just post here...does anyone have an opinion on the best building to request if you want a "fireworks" view?

Thanks!

We are in Tower 5 - was told it has a fireworks view

OH! I didn't even know that Building 5 was finished. Is this the newest building? Does anyone know which buildings are open and where the construction is taking place in relation to the buildings?

Towers 1-5 are all open. Tower 6 is being built right now. Additional construction is going on at the lagoon-side of buildings 4 and 5, where they are in the process of putting in a new pool/lazy river.

Well you don't just want to request just the building. You will want to request both.

I was there in August and we had Tower 1 which had a fireworks view and a lakeview. Loved it. You can see both the Epcot fireworks and the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

I believe Tower 5's fireworks view is fireworks and the parking lot.
