The reason you could not get information from WDW is that this is a Fairfield timeshare operation, located adjacent to (actually surrounded by) Disney-owned property. It is located on a parcel of land that Disney was not able to purchase at the time the original WDW land was assembled.
So, it is not a hotel at all, although as a timeshare it will undoubtedly also have space available for rent when timeshare owners have not booked everything. It will not have the access to Disney transportation like the Swan and Dolphin enjoy. Rather, it will likely provide its own transportation to/from the parks similar to the hotels in the Downtown Disney area.
The Fairfield timeshare is the first of a number of different lodging options planned for the site. The developer expects to have one or more conventional hotels in the future, but that could be years down the road.
