Hello, can someone tell me if Bonnet Creek has in room safes and if so are they big enough for a laptop. We've only stayed at POP before and that safe was big enough to hold laptop, zunes, wallets and money. I was just wondering what you do with your items when you are out of the room?

Also what do I need to bring with me in terms of soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee filters (what size) and anything else I'm forgetting?

Thanks.

There is an inroom safe, but I don't remember if it's large enough for a laptop or not.

They provide two boxes of laundry detergent and you are theoretically on your own for more, but many people have asked and have received more. You must bring your own dryer sheets: they don't supply any of these.

The supply of dishwasher soap, regular dish detergent, toilet paper, trash bags (you must take out your own trash), and paper towels is endless.

They supply an initial round of toiletries and then you're on your own for more.

Coffee filters -- If I remember correctly the initial complimentary supply of coffee is the kind that's in a filter, so there are no coffee filters for the coffee you bring.

They also have a couple of complimentary microwave popcorns and crystal light drink mix.

My employer requires us to use cable locks on our laptops when we travel. I bought two just like mine for my college kids at Walmart for $10 each. We looked very geeky at Christmas with three laptops chained to the furniture.

That is a smart move to lock them. I usually leave mine in the car, where you cannot see them. If they are stolen from the room, they are not covered under insurance, but if they are stolen from my car, they are covered under my car insurance... that is my logic. I don't want them stolen at all, but if they do get taken, at least they would be covered from my car insurance...

I've averaged about 45-50 nights/year in hotels for the last 10+ years. I leave mine sitting out in the open, no ill effects. I rather wish someone would steal the lemon I have now (replaced the motherboard twice) so I can just go out and buy its replacement a few months early---it's on its final year on the depreciation schedule.

I always left mine out with no problem as well, but it has been made very clear that we will be in big trouble at work if we don't use the lock and one goes missing.

I guess it has happened a few times, even in our offices. We have to use them at work as well.

Just returned from BC 6 days ago. Yes, there is an in room safe in the closet of the master bedroom, but it is not large enough to hold laptop.

I am too trusting, just left ours out on the breakfast counter each day from the time we arrived until the morning we packed up to leave. If I have ever felt the need to lock the laptop up, I usually would throw it in the suitcase and lock the suitcase up.

There were two packets of laundry detergent on the washing machine. From home I bought those new sheets that are a combined laundry detergent/dryer sheet. They were easy to pack, had what I needed and could bring home the extras easily.

There is a "start-up" supply of trash bags, dish soap, coffee filters, etc. but we bought our own coffee filter packs at the Super Wal-Mart. We also bought a supply of plasticware, cups, bowls and plates which I left the extras in the unit. Not sure if they would leave for the next guests or throw them out, but just something I didn't want to put into a suitcase and was very inexpensive.

Hope this answered some of your questions, glad to help!

I leave on Sunday for my 7 night stay. I live only 3 hours away by car so I am bringing some things from home.. I already have my laundry basket packed. I usually do that when I stay at a condo. I bring Tide laundry detergent, dry sheets, my own coffee w/ filters, Palmalive dish detergent, dish washer detergent, roll of paper towels, napkins & tooth picks, tin foil & press n' peel, also some twistie ties & baggies). Then our personal soaps, shampoos & body lotions That is my standard take along.. that way I am covered in the event I need something. I normally do not take toilet paper since most places have always given that. I have stayed at once place that only gave you 2 rolls for the week & if you needed more, they charged you $1 per roll :lmao: I just happened to have gone shopping and had a 4 pack in my car that no one ever took out... so I was covered that trip..

Reason I pack them in the laundry basket is so when we are there, I use the laundry basket for the dirty clothes.. and it is easy to store everything in there & throw it in the back of my SUV.... :thumbsup2
