Bonnet Creek or DVC in May

We are planning a trip to WDW in May (was going to be Oct, but plans have changed). Anywhoo... We are going to usse one of my parents banked weeks with RCI. What do you all think are the chanced of getting something at BC, or do you think DVC and RCI will be up and trading by then?!

May weeks will probably still be deposited for DVC for a little while after the 1st of the year---assuming they follow the same patter with RCI that they did with II (a big "if"). Wyndham has already banked through August '09. Usually, they only bank "forward", but every once in a while when owner demand runs lower than they expect, they'll bank "backward". Some Feb/Mar '09 Bonnet Creek weeks were put in a few days ago.

I would start an ongoing search with Bonnet Creek now, and add the DVC resorts as they are added to the directory.

You will need a pretty decent trader to see either, even in May---which is generally a slower time for Orlando. If you get to 50-60 days in advance, consider widening your search.

DVC is mostly in II for May.

the months that RCI will get from DVC is Oct, Nov, Dec - there will be a few in May - but not alot.

you know the wine/food festavial is only on in Oct, Nov.

in May it is the flower/garden festavial (most of the information is on 2008)

We weren't going for special events, we were going mainly in Sept b/c my mom wanted to see the fall decor, and it would give my DH more time to get established in his job, but I'm am going back to school, so our trip has been bumped up to May.
