I have a silly question.
We are going on our 2nd cruise in September. We had a bit of a problem with seasickness on our first cruise. Not a really big deal, but enough that we want to try Bonine this time to avoid it.

So, my question is this...Is it safe to mix bonine and alcohol? I don't want to get "drunk", but I'd like to have a few drinks here and there. I didn't have anything alcoholic to drink last time because of the motion sickness.
Anyone ever taken bonine and had a few drinks? :confused3
TIA

I went on my first cruise in October of 2003 and took Bonine just to be safe since I didn't know how well I would do. I had two drinks that first night and dinner and was fine. It didn't affect me at all!

I always take a bonine on the first day of my cruise....and I always have a few "sailaway" drinks and I'm still here, so I guess it's okay :rotfl2:

Kidding aside, I have never had any trouble.

Hugs,

Hi, I also took Bonine every day during our cruise and had a glass of wine at dinner at least one night. Of course that was the night I told our assistant server that my 16 yo daughter and I think he is very handsome, has a perfect face, belongs in pictures, or at least in print ads, and should be cast as prince charming in the ship's musicals, and in fact told him also that my daughter had a crush on him. I watched my daughters eyes grow in horror the longer this gushing went on, but I couldn't shut up. So there ya go. One never knows what sort of behavior the combo of Bonine and liquor will produce. ;)

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ - one Bonine and a glass of wine made me VERY sleepy... next day, I skipped the Bonine (didn't really need it, the ship is very smooth) and kept the wine. :)

I took Bonine and had a drink every night at dinner without any problem. Don't usually have a drink with dinner but this was a VACATION. By the way, none of those sissy, foo-foo drinks - Jack on the rocks. And after the first night Andre our assistant server would just look at me, I would nod and magically my drink would appear.

I take my bonine first thing in the morning. I wait until mid afternoon to have the drink of the day - well except on CC day when I have my first Konk Kooler at around 10 am. Wine with dinner and another wine at Sessions before turning in. Have never had a problem.

After about 2 or 3 glassses of wine and about 2 hours later I took a bonine about 2 nights on our 7 night cruise. I didn't feel any effect except for very sleepy. I got the best night sleeps every on those nights :rotfl: I woke up feeling totally fine, not drowsy or sick at all.

Ice is for girly-men. ;)

Just kidding -- actually, I kid my friends all the time for desecrating perfectly good Tennessee whiskey with coke. Blecch.

i am another one that took bonine each day - and had at least one drink each day with no problems!! enjoy your vacation!!
