What is a good length of time to plan on spending here with DD2 and DD5?

Thanks! princess:

Goodness...I am trying to think of years past and how long we were there, but I can say for sure, that every time we left...it was because I was tired of being there and NOT because DD7 was ready to go!

Alot depends on how hot and crowded the boneyard is . My dd could spend hours climbing to the top and sliding down and she also loves digging for bones, but when it is hot or the area is vey crowded she is pretty much ready to leave in a few minutes. :umbrella:

We have been lucky. Most times my DD is one of, if not the only kid in there. I sit on a rock and chat with the CM or relax for awhile and plan for the rest of the day.

There are slides, bridges, the sand pit, etc. Nothing incredible, just something different than riding. For some reason she just enjoys it alot.

I took my daughter in December 03, when she was 5-1/2, and again in December 04, when she was 6-1/2, and she would have spent *hours* in the Boneyard, had I not insisted that we leave after, I think, about 30 or 40 minutes. My suggestion would be to time the Boneyard visit for a time when everyone needs some downtime and a rest, perhaps in the middle of the day, after lunch or something, and put a time limit on the duration. It's lots of fun for little ones, and if yours is like mine, they would rather play in the big sandbox than stand in line for some sort of thrill ride.

My kids definitely could play here all day!!!! With all the slides and the dig part I would plan on spending a decent amount of time here for kids to explore, if you can alot it. The dig part is shaded and has fans blowing, it's a nice place to take a rest.

My kids are 9, 6 and 4 and we were there in April. This one their favorite thing of all at AK, I think! For all three of them, lol....

It is fun and it is big...it's also hard to keep up with multiple children if you don't have help :confused3 ....

I would think if it were very hot and very crowded it might not be that big of a hit. What time of year are you going? If it will be pleasant (even warmish) I would say a good 45 minutes-hour would be fun for them.

I hope they love it!

We will be there in June, so I'm hoping the kids will enjoy it despite the heat.

It sounds great! Thanks for all of the feedback! princess:
