My son and his girlfriend are going to Disney the week of March 11- 14 for spring break. She is a AP holder and I bought her a 3 day ticket. Looking for options to not lose almost $500

Does your son have an AP? Can you apply that to one for him?

He does not. As much sense as it seems to do that, it’s not practical to do for many reasons related to his future school schedule. This may be the last spring break he will have free. Summers are out due to internships and what not.

An unused ticket never loses its value so the almost $500 would be applied to a future ticket and you would only have to pay the difference at said time if the new ticket is more than your credit.

Should I just not have her use the ticket? She has her AP ticket.

She should use her AP. To hold its value the ticket must not be used at all. If even one day is used you forfeit the rest of the days and value.

Reassign her ticket to someone else in MDE, before it accidentally gets used by her. If unused it can be assigned to someone at a later date by just paying the difference in price at that time.

Is her AP valid for those dates? Some have blackout dates.

An unused ticket can also be applied to a future AP renewal if she intends to keep the AP for another year.
