Hi, I'm not sure where the best place to post this would be but hopefully someone will be able to answer some of my questions!

We are going down to Disney World over spring break. My husband will be working a few days of our vacation so he will have the car and my daughter and I will be utilizing the busses. We are staying at Pop Century and I was able to get a 9:00 breakfast reservation for Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast.

My questions: What is the best way to get there? Bus to HS and then walk/boat to Boardwalk? It's a non-park day so we were going to do some shopping at Disney Springs sometime afterwards, can I bring a stroller into the restaurant? Or would it be better to leave the stroller at our hotel and go back after breakfast for a break before shopping? The reservation is for 9:00, what time would you make sure to leave Pop Century by? Thank you for your help!! ​

Your best way would be to take private transport, like an Uber or Minnie Van. If you must use the bus system, bus to a park, then bus to Boardwalk from that park.

They do not permit strollers in most Disney restaurants and generally have a parking area outside for them. It would otherwise be mayhem for characters, servers and other guests.

Thank you! This will be our first trip with table service meals so I wasn’t sure about the strollers. I will look into private transportation!

If it was me, I'd bus to HS and then walk down to the Boardwalk. That might be my favorite walking path on property.

Other than taking the new Minnie Vans ($20), you have listed the appropriate travel options.

Give yourself 1.5-hours, because it's likely to take more than 1-hour.....20 minutes waiting for the bus, 20 minutes travel to Park, 20 minutes to walk/boat.

Of course, by giving yourself this much time, you're likely to arrive early. So check-in early.

Bring the stroller. Children nap and cocoon in their strollers.

Enjoy shopping at Disney Springs (I'd leave directly after breakfast).

Your least stressful option will be to take uber, lyft or a Minnie Van. If you need a car seat for your child, I would suggest doing the Minnie Van as the CM's are trained to install the car seats and will have one ready for you quickly. The Minnie Van is $20, though, so definitely your most expensive option. If you don't need a car seat and are ok with uber or lyft, I typically go on the apps and check who can get to us quickest and choose from there. If you go the uber/lyft/Minnie Van route, you won't really need to leave Pop until about 8:15/8:20 am (I would be in the car by then. Maybe it's just me, but I get stressed out when I see the clock ticking and I need to get to an ADR!). If you would rather not spend the money, you can take a bus to DHS and then walk to the Boardwalk (there are boats from DHS as well, but that will take quite a long time). If you go this route, I would be at the Pop bus stop no later than 7:30 am. I would bring your stroller! You can just park it outside the restaurant and then go to DS from there!

I would say definitely Minnie van but that’s because I love them. I found the drivers to be so amazing and interesting so I didn’t mind the upcharge. We went to this restaurant before the Minnie vans and took a shuttle there and boat bus back which was a nice mix. I love that character meal. I think it’s our favorite of all we have been to but I may be biased because my girls favorite princesses are Ariel and Rapunzel and I felt the character interaction was fabulous. You will have a great time.

We had an 8:10 am brft at Bon Voyage and took taxi from ASMu to BWI - cost $11 I think, but well worth it for the convenience of not having to be ready an hr early, to bus to HS and then walk/boat over.

Nonetheless, strollers are useful tools when traveling throughout Disney.

In this instance, a stroller is a useful tool when planning on traveling by foot from Hollywood Studios to Boardwalk and/or when traipsing about Disney Springs - even if the stroller cannot be brought inside a restaurant.

But all too often, folks attempt to 'clarify' and end up 'muddying-the-waters' instead.

Because if you were clarifying fully, then you should have mentioned that no restaurant allows strollers inside - and this should never discourage anyone from bringing their stroller, particularly if they have outlined plans that include copious amounts of walking.

Your answer, "No, you may not bring your stroller into the restaurant," muddies the water for clarity.

My answer, "Bring your stroller," achieves what the OP likely intended by their question.

Because anyone who has ever been to Disney knows - if you have a stroller, you need to bring your stroller.

Just to clarify, if you are staying at POP, you will NOT be able to use the Minnie Van service, unless it was already activated on a previous stay at another resort. (There is some feedback that it still works)

You can bus to HS and walk to Boardwalk. However I would just Lyft. If you haven’t used Lyft before, you can get something like $10 off your first 5 rides. We used this in Jan to make our MinnieVan rides half off.

I’m not sure why I would need to discuss other restaurants. This thread is about one particular restaurant. The OP asked if a stroller could be brought into the restaurant. My answer was, no, you may not bring your stroller into the restaurant. There is nothing unclear about that. I also didn’t discourage the OP from bringing the stroller on the trip. I was merely clarifying that it couldn’t be brought into the restaurant.

Your answer of “bring your stroller” does not provide the OP with guidance regarding where the stroller can and cannot be brought. Since she specifically asked whether or not the stroller can be brought into the restaurant, it’s important to clarify that no, it cannot.
