So I was at the Bon Jovi concert last night at Gillette Stadium. It was an awesome show. Their energy level is amazing and of course JBJ was hot as always. Getting out of the stadium and the lot and then down Rt 1 was disastrous but it didn't ruin my night. Were any Disers at the show?

I know people who were there and they said it took 2 hours to get out of the parking lot!!:scared1:

Yeah it was quite the ordeal because traffic could only direction on Rt 1 which was ridiculous.

We had a fabulous time and actually got out of the lot very quickly. The only problem was finding out way back to 495 because of the flow of traffic down Rt 1. This was the first time my DH has come to a Bon Jovi concert with me (I've been to many!) and even he had to admit, the man knows how to put on a show!

I was there!!!! I really went for Kid Rock:love: but Bon Jovi was great!!!! get this....met some nice guys who work for the production company and they upgraded us to field level seats:banana: We were suppossed to be in the top section!!! yay for random acts of kindness:thumbsup2

Oh and we left our seats before "Living on a Prayer' and made it out of the parking lot and back to our hotel in 20 minutes!!

So jealous of your upgrade!
My friend and I saw all the people leaving before the encore and were surprised by that. My dad always leaves concerts early but I like to get my moneys worth ;) I couldn't ever bring myself to leave before hearing Prayer

I was there, we left early as well. We brought our oldest DS to his first concert. He loves bon jovi! We had a feeling he wouldn't last, just based on how the day was going, but we went stayed as long as we could. We left around 11pm. Plus side...we beat a lot of the traffic adn got back to my parents house (where my other 2 DS's were ) at 12:45.

We were on the floor first section on the left side of the stage (if you are looking at it). Amazing concert, and I have to stay, I was impressed w/kid rock. Of course the language is a bit much, but it's kid rock. Thankfully my son didn't know some of the words were swears and couldn't understand some of the content. But we he heard a swear he knew, he looked at me w/a face, like oops...I heard that. :lmao:

Great night, we kept it a surprise until we were having dinner in CBS Scene! Not a bad 9th birthday present.

I know! My friend is the bigger Bon Jovi fan so I would have stayed for her but she looked at me after the first encore and said 'Let's go" so I jumped on that, lol. We actually heard most of the song on the way to the parking lot and it was funny to see everyone singing along, even the security guards:thumbsup2

I saw some kids there and thought that was really cool.

I could never bring myself to leave before the last note is sung. Heck, even after the lights come on, I just sit there thinking "say it isn't so!" I'd rather spend the night sleeping in the parking lot!

Glad to hear you loved it. I've seen them a bunch of times, nothing like some fans though who have seen 100+ shows! It gets pricey, but with with BJ, you are guaranteed to get your $$$$ worth. Usually a 2.5 hour show with nothing but tons of energy!

I had a dream come true back in May when I scored a 3rd row center seat  at the very last minute. Best. Night. Ever! Almost as good as the band that night were my fellow fans. Are we not a blast???

:thumbsup2 No one is dragging me away until the lights come on, and even then, until they pull that white mic off the stage!

Well I made the mistake of bringing my DD and her friend to the movies at 5:00. Next time I'll know to check the event schedule at Gillette before going near Patriot Place.
