Every time one gets a credit on their taxes the cost of that item increases. This is just a way for the taxpayer to transfer money to big business.![]()
What else is new...oh yeah, Obama was supposed to change politics, wasn't he?

racism=The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
I'd say suggesting Hillary Clinton is less qualified to be President because she ain't been called no "racial expletive" fits the bill pretty well.
I don't see it.....He was just stating the truth....
The white man has always controlled the power and the money in this country...Blacks are still discriminated....and he was stating how
"hillary" or any white person for that matter....wouldn't have any idea how much racism is still alive.
Why is that so bad to say....when it is just a fact.![]()
Kerri
Exactly! Seriously, it's so laughable that people think that blacks aren't pulled over by cops for the color of their skin in this country, or cabs pass them by, or are still called the "n" word by bigots. Well, it would be laughable if it weren't so sad.
.

You must not have seen the other clips of him putting down America. One of his lines was that people should not say "God Bless America" but should instead say "God D*** America".
I don't think anyone on here is denying there is racism against black people, of course there is and it is horrible that there is. The pastor's clips go way beyond that though.
Actually, there are more than a couple of people we all know that assert that the USA is past racism and that it's only an isolated phenomenon.
Well Condi....is Bush's puppet. I know there are black people who are in gov't....that dosen't mean they have any real power.
.
Well, when he gets elected, more people will be able to afford higher education. That $4000 credit and easier financial aid application will open a lot more doors for a lot more kids.![]()
Carry on with the outrage....
No, that line is not racist either by your definition or by mine. It's ugly, that's for sure. It's out of context, so I won't try to read a lot into it.

For Cripes Sake! This has nothing to do with religion!!!
This is not an argument about what this man said about the Gospel, or Jesus or even about any other religion. The topic he is ranting about is entirely secular but just happens to take place in the church. Which is entirely inappropriate - no matter what religion you are.
This is a huge problem for Obama - not because he attends the church - but because he has elevated this preacher to a position of influence over his life and decisions outside of the church. 20 years is a very long time to simply shake your head and benignly disagree with such a divisive message.
Seriously - is there anything that Obama can do that his supporters would not defend? If I had found out that Hillary had attended a church that preached white power from the pulpit - I would drop my support of her like a hot potato even if she just sat through one sermon - let alone 20 years of it.
Add Michael Steele and JC Watts to the list, the list is long but then, they won't count because they are "conservatives".![]()
There is some question about that. He is Episcopalian by baptism, he has stated he is a Baptist . . . I'm fairly sure he attends a Baptist church.McCain is an Episcopalian I believe, (Catholic light). I am sure that if he were hearing anti American, hate filled, campaigning from the pulpit, it would have been on the front page of the NYT.
I posted this on the Hillary support thread, but then saw this one and thought I would post it here also. Just my two cents.

I am SICK and TIRED of reading this. Sick of it. You know why? Because I have a Tattoo'ed, Long Hair'd, Pierced husband - who just within the outskirts of the DIS has been called a slew of names, including Skaggy, Heroin Addict - I can go on, let me know if you need me too... (so we've got the name calling)
This being said - when he initially moved in with me into Foo-Foo Rich, White suburbs - he was pulled over ALL THE TIME. ALL THE TIME! All the time. Daily. Its been the past few years, they 'recognize him' and havent bothered him - but DAILY, for years, it occured. (so we've got the pulled over)
I discussed this with a few friends of mine, who are black ( I know, a republican with black friends...crazy! ) and they saw my point.
MUCH of this has nothing to do with color, it has to do with 'class' and what 'class' you appear to fit into. I have plenty of blacks in my town....driving BMW's. The pull Jim over cuz he looks like a hoodlum, and they pull some black people over cuz they look like hoodlums. Theres no denying they pull over for no reason - but it is NOT just blacks.
Seriously - is there anything that Obama can do that his supporters would not defend?
I wonder how much of the reason that this is such a hot topic is that Pastor Wright started out from a position of Jesus as a poor black man in a country run by rich white men?
So many Christians see this "portrait" of Jesus -http://spiritlessons.com/Documents/Jesus_Pictures/Jesus_070.jpg
- in their church every week.
Maybe we can't get beyond that?
Meanwhile, have fun getting all upset about what some guy who isn't running for president has to say.
