Bombshell Obama Pastor Video

He could walk on water and you'd still get pissed.

And his followers think he does walk on water.

This is funny -- he admitted to lying and everyone is just supposed to go have tea and cookies, hold hands and sing kumbya. THis man does have AWESOME speechwriters.

At the moment, all I can say about Obama's speech is "WOW". :thumbsup2

I am glad you enjoyed his speech. Keep listening-you might be surprised at how much you learn, and you may yet find that a new vision for America is inspiring to you.:goodvibes

Of course, the default 100 year war will always be there should you decide that's a more desirable path.:rolleyes1

What part of "I did not have sex with that woman" don't you understand...Geez.

Did Obama address the 9/11 statements from Wright? Or was his speech today just to comment on Wright's other sermons?

In addition to damning America, he told his congregation on the Sunday after Sept. 11, 2001 that the United States had brought on al Qaeda's attacks because of its own terrorism.

"We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye," Rev. Wright said in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001.

"We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost," he told his congregation.

And does one speech erase 20 years of actions? I look at what someone does, not what they say (especially politicians). His best friend and mentor was a lunatic.

And what hypocrites people are. If this was Bush's best friend and mentor for 20 years talking about America and black people and Jews, you would be calling for his head on a platter!

I guess you have been drinking the Koolaid.

I think I see a Kool Aid mustache on your face too;) !!!! My recommendation to you is to review the speech, listen for more than just what you want to hear and perhaps you may get something more out of it. If anything, he went out on a limb to talk openly and honestly about race in America and how it has most definately put a mark on this election. My question is why does everyone jump all over Wright...how about what people like Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell said after 9/11, like it being the fault of homosexuals, etc....anyone remember that???

Maybe you are the one who should be listening -- there is no plan for a default 100 year war

Why should I now extoll Obama because he said some magic words? I don't need Obama to tell me about race relations in the US -- sorry -- now that his hand was caught in the cookie jar (so to speak) - what was he going to do -

It was an eloquent speech, but the references to Geraldine Ferraro's statement being comparable to Jeremiah Wright's sermons is just wrong.

ETA: I was on the phone during part of the speech and just read the comment concerning his grandmother. Shame on him for using her for political reasons.

Bush had a mentor? I hope he's proud of his work!:lmao:

Excuse me, but Obama didn't "go out on a limb" to talk about race in America, he was forced to talk about it now, he certainly wasn't bringing it up before. What a huge coincidence that all of the sudden, five days after his pastor's videos were exposed, he is so concerned.

And the Pat Robertson/Jerry Falwell statements were all over the news at the time and people were very critical. And I guarantee if Hilary named a book after one of their sermons and was buddy buddy with either of them, she would never be in contention for the democratic nomination.

President Bush HAS associated with ministers that are just as political and inflammatory as Rev Wright-only their targets are homosexuals, Muslims and basically anyone else who doesn't agree with them. The Republican party has been in bed with and using these ministers since Nixon. Anyone remember Billy Graham's comments about Jews in the Nixon tapes?

If this incident does nothing else, I hope that it wakes ALL of America up about the blurring of the line between church and state and how damaging it is to both sides.

Get the politics out of the church and get the church out of the politics.

Rev Wright is wrong, Rev Hagee is wrong, Rev Robertson is wrong, Rev Falwell was wrong, Rev Parsley is wrong, Rev Dobson is wrong...ALL of them are wrong and should have their tax exempt status stripped from them.

I totally agree with you on these points.

You might write Newsweek, they could use the correction. :rolleyes1
(And if you want to argue occupation vs war...well, Newsweek would agree with me.)

Funny, the big McCain supporters certainly don't spend a lot of time extolling his many, many virtues. He is you most favored, greatest Republican in history guy, right?

Obama did not just "associate" with Wright, if it was a casual acquaintance no one would care so much.

Yes, they would. Anything to bring him down. Now go back to shrieking "kool-aide" at the top of your lungs.
