Bomas -- First night or last night???

We get to WDW around 10-11 am on a Saturday and check into AKL. We then leave the following Sunday morning, bright and early. So my question is: Should we do Boma's that first Saturday night (after a long, overnight drive) or that last Saturday night? FWIW, we have two little kids, 5 and 2, and they are actually very good about trying new and different foods, so this will be a good choice of a restaurant for us.

Of course, we would love to do Boma's on both nights, but if you could only pick one night, which would it be? Thanks!

We just did an AKL trip with a 2 and 7 year old, and it was great to check in, go to one of the parks and then come back to a fun meal (Boma's) and the be able to just go up to our rooms and collapse. I recommend first night. If you love it you can always do it again the final night!

We did this on our first night last trip and probably will in February. It really set the tone for the trip and allowed us to experience new things. We usually arrive in the afternoon, relax at the resort and maybe DTD, then head to dinner. We loved this place and it really made us FEEL like we were on vacation! For our last night, we usually do something that definitely screams Disney like Chef Mickey's. Get that last character fix!

My family's traditions include 'Ohana the first night and Boma on the last night. 'Ohana's festivity and mild zaniness set the mood for our vacation, and Boma's more sedate, tranquil setting just "feels" right for the end.

I agree, go on your first night, and if you love it as much as I did, go again on your last night. The food is excellent. I could live on just the soups!
